Does anyone knows when they are going to release another F/W.

Those who haven't updated as yet, you better wait.

I cannot understand how SE takes so long to address problems that are there for more than 6 months like the memory leaks and slow UI.

I pray to the heavens some miracle happens.
I have given hope that this superb phone wont have a chance to show the world it true capabilties

SE is getting now on my nerv too...

I have my phone for several month now and NOT even once it had this 'restarted for performance crap. Battery was okay and macro got it mostly clear..!

But this last fw update changed all that. Now I had my first restart...of course when the phone rang and I answered.
The battery now drains faster and the macro doesn't get it clear most of the time.

Anyone know how to flash back to the former fw? Any trick in doing it? Now one can be afraid that a working phone gets messed up after an 'Update'!

iīm satisfied with the new version...its faster when making reclaims level 3 with swiss pro, normal free memory is higher (always around 11-12mb now, after some hours of boot), i got the most RAM i ever did at boot (18.2mb), not a single auto reboot so far, etc...only hassle is the stupid non-existing reliable backup process

With due respect to the CellPhoneSoft team for their fabulous apps, I have not used Swiss Manager since the firmware upgrade in January and have had no problems, RAM management or otherwise, even without restarting my device for well over a week.

You get about 2-3 MB more RAM if you use SM Pro and you can choose which applications can have a higher priority and wouldn't get closed. But there is another advantage, SM Pro is the only way to watch video with flip closed.
P990i: A mistake, a curse and a disgrace So I lowered my expectations and settled for a P1i. I couldn't keep my expectations so low for a long time so now I have an HTC Touch HD

I agree with you ares. My phone is pretty much the same except for one restart while answering the phone which was the very first call after update, didn't happen again. Overall, WLAN+RSS+Opera used together is much more stable, no ip_sec errors leading to a restart. Opera did close a couple of times but no restarts. Phone seems quite stable now compared to a couple of months ago.
Apart from the obvious problems, there are some features I wish SE would implement:
1- The ability to sort Notes. None of the P series have this feature and I just can't understand why. I guess no one at SE uses these P series phones for any serious daily work!
2- Someone at SE should know where the system files and application files are stored. Please, have a decent backup/restore program incorporated into the PCSuite.
3- The alarm screen needs a rewrite. What is the logic of having a different timezone between the local time and the alarm time?

Makbill, about notes, i guess thatīs why a notes app has been launched recently lol...but we shouldnīt have to pay for that

Anyway, i agree with you, and would add the update for Opera 9...it sure would be great...maybe R5 brings us that, together with SVG support...and of course, more free RAM

And how about we have all one standard for this:

NO flight mode (uncheck ask!)
NO PIN

this way all that try to measure the time will have the same basics.

Then we have a clear time from pushing the button to operator logo.

By the way, anybody knows if the phone COMPRESSES the contact phone book? Because sometimes when adding a contact a quick message pops up, compressing...

Yeah, and don't forget, start up is much, much faster while charging than when uncharged. I guess we should all set it to uncharged, that's where the real wait is. Haven't flashed the new firmware on mine yet though, gonna fork out some money to have it done at an SE service center soon. Though I have made successful firmware updates myself, I'm not gonna risk doing it via SEUS again after so many freak cases I've read on the forum, a million and 1 things could go wrong and if it does, it's nice to have transferred the responsibility to someone else

Well, Ive been updated with the new firmware since day of release, and although I havent had the phone restart when trying to answer calls, it does still terminate the call once you press yes to answer it!

And yes, I did do a reset before I updated, and I have not restored settings from a previous backup.

Any suggestions? or others which have had this issue?

Thanks
