kyxx- it doesent matter, you can update firmware via SEUS, Carphone warehouse is a good place to get from as their handsets are usually unlocked and debranded |

Is TD going to update this thread with details? Not seen any posts from him in a while so perhaps hes away?
Onto a question: Anyone else tried zooming the camera and been given a "Zoom not possible in this mode" message?. I have had this on two handsets now (Both Vodafone UK branded with R1ED001 as SEUS doesnt have new firmware yet). If i switch to video camera mode it will zoom. I also have a K800i which uses the same basic internal design and firmware and the camera zooms on this without any message (I know the cameras are different but it still seems odd).

Camera zoom is not available in 2mp mode, it is available if you change photo quality.
T68i(white/blue), T610(aluminum haze), T630 (arctic white), K700i(optic silver), W800i (smooth white), W850i (precious black), W910i (noble black) |

hi !
i have a se w850i and i have a problem with the phone while it in "stand by" status. The moment when i slide the phone, the screen sometime flicker before it actually shows the main background. does it happen to you, guys?? |

and ! how long can u guys listen to the music? i think i gotta buy a new battery cuz i only can hear music for 10hours. |

battery life is well more than 10 hrs when you're just listening to music (flight mode)..like around 20hrs |

Think its pretty bad of SE to not have fixed it and this phone even got "Musicphone of the Year" Award here in Sweden.

Hi folks!
I've got an W850i with FW R1GB001 and am experiencing a strange problem. When I search in the phone book the handset reboots if I press a number key so many times that I go to a digit.
I.e, I open the phone book and press '4' which leads to first entry starting with 'G', then I press '4' three more times, then the phone reboots. It's the same thing with all digits.
SonyEricsson support claim they know nothing about this, so I wonder, has anyone else experienced this problem? |

wahhh I feel like crying (okay okay taking a deep breath and composing myself)
I have sony w850i...love the phone..it was working really well. Then i thought okay why not update it. So i updated it and became this R1gb thing... Thats when the problem started
Okay so what does this update do anyway... i dont think it has improved my phone in anyway at all...but instead totaly messed it up..okay not totaly but the video section is messed up.
I think the problem is...in the new firmwire sony has made it such that...video thumbnails play when u move the cursor over it...this is fine for the inbuilt phone videos.. but all my music videos in my card are like around say 9mbish..and now in the thumbnail mode for these...the phone just gets stuck..and stays stuck for awhile before it re starts on its own... i think the problem is its trying to do the same thumbnail for these bigger videos and somehow getting stuck. The only solution i know to this is changing the view mode to normal list view.
Okay maybe your thinking im silly..but i loved the thumbnail mode..and somehow feel that the phone was faster before...so can someone please please tell me how to switch back to the previous firmware.. or how to fix this thumbnail problem

I have one for the money.
Not sure if it has been mentioned though so apologies...
If I have New Events set to Homescreen and receive a text message if I unlock the phone without sliding it open and read the message, if I then slide the phone open the Homescreen pops up...Nothing major but marginally annoying! lol |
