Hmmm, the AT&T T68m might have some menu's locked but the AT&T T68i doesn't (all the menu's are unlocked)..

Hello. I purchased a service cable to flash my phone. How can I test if its the right one and if it works without purchasing credit first?

Thank you

in page 6, there is a FAQ answered your question already. Please don't always ask without doing a search first.

I've read this post for quite some time now and I'm a little sick and tired of WAIKINCHENG's snide remarks. Unlike WAIKINCHENG, I have better things to do, then search through 86,104 posts to find the answer to my question. I realize WAIKINCHENG's English, not so good, but this doesn't give him the right to belittle or condescend anyone on this forum, newbie or not! If anyone is interested in viewing some posts by WAIKINCHENG crying like a little newbie, wander over to these two links. At this website WAIKINCHENG goes under the username RADEON8500. WAIKINGCHENG I hope I don't get a yellow card!

haha...yes, they are my post. Everyone has been a baby, and everyone has to learn. From time to time, I learned not to beg again, but to find the answer myself.
So I think I am a good example of you guys, who are still newbie. You may have once been a newbie, who are begging for something. This is a fact of life. What we need to do is to learn quickly, just like me.
Do I really just scolding you guys in the previous post? no, I don't think so. My tone is straight because I really want you to understand, and make absolutely no mistakes. Because mistakes are not allowed in flashing. And regarding my english, I've stated early in my post that, I really don't want to hurt anybody. I've apologized for this long long time before. If you guys still think that you are belittled by me, I say sorry again.
I've spent 8 pages to explain all the things to you guys. I answered any PM or any Email or any posts here. No one get ignored. And i've spent my time to compose a FAQ for you guys and i've also shared my firmware to you guys, which I hardly found it. I didn't get any rewards for doing those things. I am wanting to help you guys. And the fact is that you get your answer here, though sometimes because of my poor english, you may feel like belittled. Sorry for this. I am having a english course now, hope that my english can improve so that I can control the tone. As some of you know, I come from HK, where we use cantonese. The use of language of cantonese of course is a big difference to English. Sometimes if you feel I am scolding, actually I am not. If I use block letter, I just want to emphasis to the others. There is no other meaning. If anyone feel uncomfortable because of me, please say so, and please teach me how to say it better in english. I'm still a newbie in English.
If you want to see how people treat newbie badly, you can go to GSMhack's forum....haha...you know what's the system there? they use YELLOW CARD...newbie are not welcomed...

Anyway, guys, you can think what you like.

Now were supposed to feel sorry for this guy. Gimme a break! He knows English well enough to realize his tone is a little too harsh, but expects us to believe further English studies will correct any miscommunication in his tone at the present time. I don't buy it! Here's an idea WAIKINCHENG, why don't you create a new post called
'How To Guide To Unlocking and Flashing T68m to T68i'. Post all your previous posts into one topic, then we won't waste any of your precious time with newbie questions.

well, i think i'm here to help, not to reply to any criticism unrelated to flashing.
Anyone still want help in flashing, you may ask here. As before, I will reply any posts, if the answer is not replied by somebody else.
I WILL NOT REPLY TO ANYTHING UNRELATED AGAIN.

About your suggestion, GSMhack, I think someone has already done a summary on flashing. But you can't see it, because too many people concentrate on here, and everyone will ignore the other posts related to flashing...that's why the new post goes down.

I dont his previous history but if i were to judge him from this thread, I would somehow hear his annoyance if someone would come here and ask questions that had been answered previously in the same thread.

Well, this is answered before. You can ONLY flash by cable at this stage. Also, it is the most reliable one for flashing. If it really support bluetooth, will you really use it? at least I won't use. It's not stable enough to do the flashing.

Some info..

Guys, I got a few reports that some T68 upgraded to the T68i's firmware resulted in bluetooth not working correctly..

(he also used my R5C001)..

Have you guys noticed this problem on your T68's?

I know that my AT&T T68i R5C001 firmware dump works properly as I used it myself to overwrite a Cingular T68i (not T68) though and the bluetooth is working on that flashed phone..

The reason for me flashing the Cingular was due to the menu locks + bluetooth wasn't working properly - go figure! Fixed after the update..

This is something we really need to be worried...is that T68i really isn't compatible with T68m in terms of bluetooth? i can't confirm whether my R5D firmware is come from a T68mi or T68i. I just know it works great on my T68m, but without the test of Bluetooth, as I don't have any bluetooth device to test with.
I know that some of you may have upgraded using mine or funk's firmware. Can you guys test for the bluetooth?
