i think the screen is only 1/4 inch smaller than the 910 so no big deal really. |

Read before release it should be same capacity as P910 (1200 mAh I think it is compared to N90 770 mAh), but in a smaller form factor. |

It has one major advantage over the P990i; confirmed Bluetooth v2.0! faster data rate & multiple connections simultaneously.
Too many of you fans on the first 2 pages; every iteration of of Ericsson smartphones has been a considerable upgrade in more than 1 field. Since the R386 (?) the form function has been the same but the functionality has increased in more areas than one.
This is one of 2 phones in the world announced or production that fully charges via the USB port. BlackBerry and all major push email solutions support builtinto the OS!! This may even work with WiFi connections. Now remember surfing the internet over this connection along with seemless transfer of phone calls. VPN is a pure need for corporate mobile professionals - I can see Cisco & Avaya porting 1 number multiple locations apps for this mobile in a heart beat!
Man of you complained of the need for 2MP into this phone and its there. Take a good look of the press photos 5.5mm lens - thats HUGE quality photos compared to the size of lens on the famous mobile photo king k750i! imagine the prestine imaging in this mobile. Also 4GB MS Duo Pro by launch date - goodbye iPod Nano. I actually like this design just as much as the P910a.
Only 2 considerations which I'm already forgiving; 1) No EDGE/UMTS for us in North America. Not SE's fault its our laggard commoners that just want paygo phones for emergency highway usuage. 2) 850Mhz band for better call quality in remote areas or sublevel garages - that are still open air.
Good work SE; you've got 2 phones that have won me over from the Nokia darkside.
PS whomever mentioned getting a Nokia communicator - smack him silly. Nobody wants a crappy phone camera that long in their pocket. Most of the boys here dont even have members that long and something longer than theirs in their pocket just isnt right. besides this offers so much more functionality. For those long term users of p910/p800 dont jump ship. If you could live so long with those devices then you'll be in heaven with this model. |

I have no idea what-so-ever whether this supports bluetooth v2 (though it'd be good if it did), however, the P910i supports multiple bluetooth connections with v1.2 so I've no doubt the P990i will do too! As for the faster connection - surely this would only be of major use if moving large volumes of data such as browsing the net...that's what the wi-fi's for!
Be nice though to have v2 bluetooth that supports stereo headsets and general audio (music) streaming etc.

it certainly misses the WOW factor as we all expected... that maybr because, we put our hopes too high, earlier, used to put a leading product up, and then others follow suite, this time, there are phones that can be compared to p990, when p900 was released, there were no phones that can stand next to it... that is why we feel we are missing something special....
