Ok so all those master resets and renaming files confused me a bit.Can anybody tell me how to update my R1L to R1N what do I need to do exactly.BTW my customization:
CDA102338/1 R31A
cxc125953 R1L002
VFE_2
I dont care about various languages I just need good old English and my BT, IRda, Java and Camera to function.
Please help,

man...i'm super pissed right now....a 2mp camera phone with a non-working camera...
i dont want to pay davinci team to fix it...cuz i dont think i should...i mean..its it really my fault to trust se with my phone?? damn it!!!
i'm gona try to back up my contents..n do the master reset thing...since nothing else seems to be working....

i tried master reset...but the install stills messes up...n it skips to 100%
then i get the communication error message

1.i did a master reset-reset all...
2.i did the latest fw update from the somy ericsson website
3.the fw update complete without any problems... no skipping or anything and at the end, it said update successfully completed or something...
4. i clicked ok
5. i turned the phone on and did a master reset again
6. all other languages were bask and video playbak quality is better now, the display is also better...
im so happy!!!

EVERYONE THE MASTER RESET (RESET ALL) WORKS JUST FINE, I JUST DID MINE RIGHT NOW AND IT WAS BEAUTIFUL, THANKS FOR POSTING IT HERE MAN CAUSE GOD KNOWS I DIDNT WANNA GIVE DVT MY FREAKIN MONEY THANX AGAIN BRO

Master reset did not work for me 
I am going to try a different computer, maybe the problem is some sort of conflict with the usb on my nforce chipset. |

When we do a master reset, will all the "factory" sound/images/theme still there? Only my new stuffs will be gone? How did you back up all contacts? Do I need to take out my memory stick to do that? Will it clean up my memory stick content as well? Sorry for all these questions, but i am really stuck! Also, do we need to delete the two files "HL1_125953-HK-MR2_000000_0000_R1N035" (size 703 kb) and "HL1_125955-HK-MR2_000000_0000_R1N035" (size 11,528 kB)?
Most people with HK version works now, but I keep getting the "error in communication". The two differences I can find are the follows:
CXC 125932 R1D
CDA 102338/8 R8A
People who update correctly has R1E and R5A
helps!!

master reset worked for me! wooohoo!
at first i thought it hadn't as i had the communication error when i first tried updating. what i did next was to do a master reset on my half-updated phone, then tried updating again through SEUS. and it worked! great! |

mine still doesn' work... i'll try again, but tell me if a did everything right:
1.master reset
2.connect the phone to the usb, and start the update
3.after finishing the update master reset again...
but there's one problem, it still stucks at 49% |

It went from 50% to 100% and camera works again etc...

The 'Master Reset'-Trick works for me.
I did the following;
Backup:
- Copy all contacts to my SIM-Card
- Copy all themes I put on the phone to my PC
- Removed my 1GB MemoryStick Pro Duo
Master Reset:
- Menu -> Settings -> Master Reset -> Reset All
- Enter code 0000
- The Phone said: "Memory Cleared" and restarts by itselfs.
- When it restarts, just turn it off.
Updating:
- Go to SE update site.
- Did the "Recovery Mode"-update
- It went till 39%, then it freezes for like a minute and went to 42%
- Then runs smoothly to around 60% and jumps to 100% and says it was 'Update Complete'.
- Remove battery and put it back
- Turn the phone on
- Do another Master Reset to get all languages back
Now the phone is working again with R1N and camera 4.5 |

Does anyone have those SEUS update files like EU_1 or EU_2 but R1N035 version? I wanted to let the update process download those R1L files and when it says turn off your phone and pull the cable out then copy the R1N035 files in the sony ericsson update folder and rename them to R1L.Do you think this would be safe? |

Has the success of updating the K750 firmware anything to do with internet connection speed?
I mean, those ppl who succeeded were on dialup or broadband? And those who failed?
I am on dialup and have failed despite all attempts. Master resetting also doesnt work. |

after doing the master reset...problem still exist...
when i get to around...50%..it skips to 100% and i still get the communication error msg
argh!!!! somebody help mee!! |
