Dumb ?

Why ?

Because I offer a different perspective on the matter than you ? a perspective that Im able to argument for unlike you that only seem able to start insulting me for no reason at all ?

Did you even read my post, or was that simply to difficult ?
Your reply certainly suggest that the content of my post was to difficult for you to grasp.

I loved the K700i but honestly, the K750i has it all. The camera makes a serious difference but key must be the ability to use a 1GB duo pro - the MP3 player is great (admittedly I dont have much experience with other MP3 Players) but even the radio has RDS.... Fantastic Phone. If none of this swings it for you - the "torch" or light is even brighter than the model before... ...And the very best bit.....It works very well with Yamigo "friends" and Gmail

I posted this on another forum in response to another guy asking the question "Is it worth upgrading / what are the major differences" :

K700 vs K750 from the user's perspective:

Interface is faster. Much faster. Especially after the firmware flash, which only costs $16ish since you use the supplied cable and shouldn't take you long at all with some decent instructions.

The camera shutter keeps dust out of the lense, and when coupled with Noiseware Pro (an image noise reduction program) the pics are quite nice. The k700's 640x480 pics were really pretty useless, but these new high res ones... well they're actually worthy of keeping. Plus the interface is much better - it's like a real digicam. The only thing missing is optical zoom, and that can be solved by using max res and cropping, or shooting through a pair of binoculars if you're desperate (no this is not advice for pervs, it's for sightseers).

Having a decent memory store is going to be really handy. I'm considering disposing of my iPod Shuffle -- sound quality seems good, the UI is easy to deal with, and the speaker is pretty decent for an inbuilt one; seems better than the K700 one. Mp3 playback on the k700 was useless, but expandable memory changes it all.

The processor in the k750 is twice the speed of the k700 (see the jBench results). Java apps run smother, and so does animated playback. The Vodaphone branded version comes with a little demo disney clip, it's a few minutes long and a meg or so. It was very watchable, through speaker or earbuds. I'm going to see if I can rip my futurama eps down to a small res and stick them on the phone.

Images and videos on the phone can be rotated to use the more useful horizontal screen, which is great.

Once you debrand the handset, the vodafone live button becomes the shortcuts menu - a function otherwise locked to the upwards push of the joystick. It's a great feature, I've pinned some of the harder to get to tasks like calendar and such there, and kept my joystick for alarm, contacts, messages and settings.

The joystick has a nice feel to it, after some use it's even nicer than the k700s. Similarly after using the phone for half an hour the keypad is much much better - keys are not so prone to feeling lose if you slide your fingers over them.

The higher colour display makes little difference for me, but I do remember some older k700 themes that had banding on them. I assume this has gone (none of my new pics have banding on them), but I havn't tried the old ones yet.

The horrid camera shutter noise is gone, replaced by a much nicer autofocus double-blip and a pleasant shutter sound. These are quieter in silent mode too.

I'm actually a bit miffed that when debranding the phone the sound goes altogether in silent mode - I don't like the thought of pervs using phone cameras without sound, which so many seem eager to do. The old excuse of horrid shutter nosie is gone, so anyone who isn't trying to get pictures with unwilling subjects has no excuse to desire such a thing.

Other than that, the phones appearance is lovely, it really grows on you (not that it needed to, it was sweet from first sight). Mine is sexy, sexy black. The w800 orange looks reasonable in pictures, but it is rather unprofessional imho, and that isn't so great when you work in a shirt and tie that doesn't belong to a fast food chain.

Hopefully that answers your questions. I know it is a little pro k750, but what do you expect when I own the new phone now?

For anyone without the cash for a 750, the 700 is still a great phone, and it'll now be quite cheap -- I think it's about $300 or so. But when you can get the 750 for $600 + $16 to debrand, I'd say wait an extra month to save the cash to make up the difference, and you'll thank yourself later.

RE: Bluetooth

Bluetooth seems to work well for me. The data rate has also been upped. I've never had a problem with it though, I grabbed a $50 Billionton Class-1 usb adaptor and I can access bluetooth from the other side of the house through a few sets of brick walls (but not outside).

Unfortunately Float's Mobile Agent, (fma.sourceforge.net) which is an awesome free software package that cannot be recommended enough for SE phone owners, does not work properly with contact transfers at this stage. Hopefully this will be fixed soon

nbuilt light is at least as bright as the k700. It's also a wider double-led unit. When taking photos with the camera, the light begins duller and then goes brighter for a semi flash effect. It's still too bright beforehand though, it'd be nice if it was dull before the flash bit, since they obviously have the tech.

The battery has a larger capacity, but I havn't yet stressed it or seen the length of a charge. With the k700 I could get the battery down to empty on a day of very heavy use, or up to around 5 days with light use. My current job requires a fair bit of talk time now though, so I can't really do economy runs anymore, and I've only had the phone for a few days.

Just put your charger next to your bed and charge it every night. As I said in the other thread, modern mobile batteries don't suffer from battery memory, so there is no negative side to regular charging. Check Dans Data for verification if you doubt.

Oh, and you'll be interested to know it seems you can select your own message tone from any music format.

By the way, Noiseware Pro is not a freebie, but it does awesome work in terms of reducing noise on dark objects.

Anyway, if you have the cash for it, the k750 is truly a worthy phone for any candybar lover. The only thing I could wish for would be a better flash of the leds for photo taking, and I might suggest that in a firmware update place if I can find one, because I'm sure it can be done.

To each their own but for me either expandable memory OR nicer camera (let alone both) are reason enough to upgrade!
