I'll try it again with the new firmware R1N035 and see if they have fixed it. Gotta wait till I get home though. I am carrying a retractable 3rd party USB cable in the office and apparently the SEUS program does not detect that as the original USB cable for the update.

Anyone else tried USB charging with the new firmware yet?

OK, I got R1N035 installed.
Plugged my phone into the USB cable.
Battery was at initally at 69%. Left it charging. Didn't keep track of how long (probably 1/2 hour later) when I checked again, battery level is now at 90%.

So, I think the new firmware fixes the issue of USB cable not charging the phone properly.

Anyone else can confirm this?

You need to install the K750/W800 drivers on the PC for USB charging to work properly!

So how do you install usb drivers onto a usb-mains travel-charger then?......

I found out why the phone isn't charging from USB cable. The original charger uses another connection pin for charging. Tha power of usb port is adequate, cause the 220V charger gives out only 400 ma. From the dead mice and cheap handsfree I made a system that charges my phone from the travel usb charger, and parallelly there is handsfree functionality with FM transmitter.

Look at this website for pinout:
