yes, its possible by making changes to the firmware, but I dont think that was relevant in the particular situation.
Its not possible as a simple user like it is for some nokias, by just donloading a transparent logo file or otherwise. There are no services offering removal over wap or anything. It can only be done by altering the firmware, which is not a normal user thing to do.

there is an easy free way we used a loooong time ago if you do a search you will probably find it posted here in many places,
make your own theme
change the logo text color to the theme background color, just make sure where the logo text appears the theme is just one color (background) that's it it will fade with it.

damn darky beat me to the punch! i have done this and it did work on my k700, but the screen looked a bit plain. the worst thing is in a firmware update the operator logo got bigger!

You cannot make it the exact same color as the background, it has to be a few shades different, otherwise the theme wont work.
But you are still not removing the logo as was asked for, you are only making it difficult to see within that particular theme.

it will if the background is a pic file, you can even have stuff on it just the place where the logo appears to be the same color so it blends in you won't notice it.
