Warranty is for service only when the part that you want repaired/changed is due to physical impact or any external factors.
(you can buy a case...and have it installed...installation is free...but case you have to pay for...same for other parts)
Warranty only covers parts when it is damaged by firmware or...if ever, by mishandling of authorized service people.
Years ago, I had my 7650 fixed cause it stopped working when the memory got full. Initially, Semicon just uprgraded the firmware, but advised me to monitor the phone.
Unfortunately, just when I got home, the phone stopped working again, so I took it back to Semicon...then they told me they had to change the "motherboard" entirely, also they had to replace some parts that got fried.
I got back my phone with a receipt indicating that parts were worth 8K and service was 1.5k...but total billed was P0.00
I didn't have to pay nothing...
But that was ages ago...I'm not sure what the terms are nowadays.

Since july the prices of K750i has gone up again. for g-flex800 the unit now goes for P18,200 instead of P16K (non-corporate). In greenhillls, the lowest they'll give it now is at P20.5K when it used to be P19K-P19.5K in July. I think you bought your phone at just the right time (probably an introductory price) since it has gone up instead of going down. I would have thought that the intro of the w800 would make it go down instead of up. I guess a lot of people noticed they're very similar. the w800 in greenhills goes as low as P24K, quite a good deal since you get the better earbuds and adapter + the 512mb ms. And I heard that flashing K750i in greenhills to the w800 R1K firmware costs P1,200. When you get tired of the brilliant/flashy casing u could always buy a classic one |

yes, i also noticed the price difference in the current pricelist of globe.. good thing i bought it early and Enjoyed early instead of waiting for the price to go down..
where did you get your k750? |

josephhh: i bought mine sa ghills, 1 month nga lang "warranty" Kinabahan tuloy ako nung nagluluko yong firmware update sa SEUS! if na-corrupt daw yung phone memory, useless na yong phone and its bye-bye P20,500! Nagdalawang-isip tuloy ako to go ahead with the R1K upgrade to w800 and just went straight to SE glorietta for the P500 firmware upgrade. sa susunod if i'm getting an expensive phone dun na ako sa 1-year warranty kahit medyo mas mahal, para may peace of mind...natatakot tuloy kasi ako ngayon na i-maximize capabilities ng hardware ng phone ko dahil wala nang warranty hehehe! i think maganda yong choices mo sa pagbili mo, both in timing and source.

oo nga, for me if you're buying a 20+k cellphone or any other electronics item, you'd prefer adding a few thousand bucks for that peace of mind, thinking that you will have to PAY to get it fixed if something goes wrong after just a month.

noobie asking.
clarify ko lang po, if I bought my k750i sa globe (under g plan) and may nangyari within warranty period, pwede ko sya dalhin diretso sa Semicon for repairs at no cost?
Gnun din po ba kung sa smartnet (buendia) ko dalhin. I mean no cost pa rin? |

eroto: ang alam ko sa semicon and/or smartnet din dadalhin ng globe yong phone mo kasi hindi sa kanila yong warranty but sa phone dealer. dati matitingnan mo sa ilalim ng battery yong sticker kung aling dealer na network ng globe ang nagsupply ng phone. (tagal na akong hindi kumukuha sa globe so di ko na alam ngayon if ganung sticker pa rin ang sistemang gamit.) if walang sticker & me malapit naman sayong smartnet or semicon, i think it's worth a visit. mas matagal pag idadaan mo pa sa globe.
libre lang yan pag yong problem eh normal use ka lang within the warrranty period. me kilala ako ginagawang martilyo (prod designer sya) ung Nokia 2010 nya noon, pero 3 beses pa rin pinalitan under warranty...pero alam ko hindi kasama sa "normal use" yong pagmamartilyo...
