bummer.. c0rn7 beat me to it by a few seconds!
anyways.. quick question regarding the new firmware..
is the cam software faster than on r1a?
i find it a lil on the slow side when takin quick shots (takes a good second to focus n then another second to save.. not to mention its about a half second delay AFTER pressing the shutter button to save). |

nope, folks. THE TEST IS FLAWED (thanks to corn7 pointing it out to me)
my phone(R1J) is set to FINE. I did not check my friends' R1A, chances are it's on "normal".
*sorry, but folks look at it this way: if R1J takes crappier pics than R1A, then i am perfectly happy with my crappy R1J photos , and i am happy for R1a users.
**bottom line is, there will probably be minimal discernible difference on both FW photo quality. not like the video quality**

They look quite the opposite on my K750
My R1A pictures looks like the R1J pictures you post and my R1J pictures looks like the R1A pictures you post that are generally more exposed. I need to turn down exposurecompensation 2 notches on every pictures I take to get the same. |

Looking at the pictures, the only difference I could see is that one is a bit washed out than the other.
This, as one poster commented, may be adjusted through exposure compensation. Maybe the developers changed some settings in the latest firmware.
My K750i present firmware is R1L... I haven't had any problems with it, and am quite happy that I updated my phone's firmware from R1A... |

I have definatly noticed a reduction in picture quality look at these pictures; i know they are of slightly different scenes so it is not totaly fair but i would expect with the "same" camera they would come out near enough as sharp as each other. This though is not the case.
[the size on both had to be reduced so i dont know if it will be as clear to see]

R1J seems to have lighter colours, but i guess this can be adjusted with the brightness. |

Well i thought that R1J and R1L had the exakt same camera FW 4.4 so the pics would be of same quality. The second pic is also taken with bright windows in backgound this usually doesn't help if you wan't to take good shoots but it seem to be much worse almost as if taken in normal mode and not fine. |

Looks like R1A makes a sharper picture.

i agree r1a is better quality.. but then again i have to state the obvious.. its not a true comparison because theyre both different shots of different objects at different angles. |

The R1J/R1L picture reminds of one taken with 2 x zoom or something similar. Strange.

Man.... All fine but, R1L and R1J it's almost the same frimware, fixes only GPRS issue:/ If You could compare it with R1A then... there could be a diffrence. |

yeah, as far as I can see there is no significant difference, and if their is it's splitting hairs. My K750 came with R1J anyway (I just updated to R1L), so it's a mute issue for me. Damn, missed out on the R1A video bitrate.....

i have upgraded my k750 to w800i with R1K001 but is a downgrade because R1A044 had the best video and pictures, 3.8 camera is the best till now , 4.4 sucks |
