I apologize! Just a mistake... I've tried to reply and my last text was still hanging in the page!!! The T65 (and even T39, T68,...) text input and handling is a little slow. Anyway I just want to disagree with Manuela: I have an iPAQ, it's a business look palm, but the P800 style looks so good to me! Shape and colour are at least unusual, do you still prefer the 7650 style? The T300 is not that bed, but there's a lot of people buying Nokia mobiles, why does SE need to invest too much money on design? :-)

the T300 is the same as T68 in hardwear except for bluetooth and memory, for picture's its the same but for phone numbers it has less about 200-300 i think.
the softwear is diverent i looks the same, same navigation, same menu but no HSCD, no voice dial or anything whit voice command, no Sync ML, no Synchronization. but it has Polyphonic Ring Tunes. and it suports something special for the MCA-25. and yes 266-300€ is cheap for a colour phone at this moment.only 6 colour phone's are on the market. and this one will be the cheapst. |

T68i ugly? I don't think so...
But yes, I do think it's kind of lame that is coming out with a gray version of a T68i. They better allow us to switch are phones to a gray version.

If it does happen to drop to USD200 or lower , no doubt i will buy it, keep it as an extra phone or use in conjunction with my T68i that i have now
but the prob is when the T300 drops to USD200,what will the price of T68i be? both the T300 and T68i should be dropping parallel...(more or less)
The current market price for original T68i in my country is around USD390 and the estimated release price for a T300 is USD300!!!
I would rather spend another USD90 for a T68i
sanj is right,T300 comes with infrared
differences is only memory and bluetooth

I will buy the T300 when it hit the stores. Futuristic cool design, cool games and the 24-poly synth really gets my attention. It sounds like a funphone to me.
I looked at some of the games at http://www.mophun.com/ and really..are the Nokia games in their upcoming models even close to be bad in comparison??
The synth is impressive too. 24 polyphonic voices MIDI. Nokia got 8 voices in 3150 and that's not even real MIDI. You can't download or beam melodies from your PC or your synth to it as you can with T300. Big mistake.
Samsung T100 is a cool phone but after a week it's boring and the upper flip is much heavier than the keypad so it's easy to loose it. Functions and games - sorry. Display - really nice. Price - nop.
P800 is much bigger than T300, and pricy so that's not an option for me but I admit it looks cool and it got everything plus more.
I vote for the "less than 200USD" option as T300 is obviously targeting young people.

Marklar... I agree with you on your analysis but you must admit that the mistake in the T300 is the size of the screen. For people blaming it only has 256 colors: besides gaming there is still no need for much more colors than that. Unless carriers develop color sites or MMS become really popular I think we can live with 256 colors. And I am pretty sure that once colors have been enhaced all will start blaming and asking for higher resolution... Ok, it is cool to have 4096 or even more colors, but only with the P800 (video, organizer, ecc.) one will need them.
I am afraid that the P800 will be on the shelves together with the UMTS phones... You might say the UMTS network will not be good at that point... But all of us know that for such a phone it will be crucial to be at the top of the line...
Back to the T300.
From SE's point of view it is wise to have a cheap entry level phone and I am sure that if they do a good marketing campaign they might attract young customers (which were never the focus of Ericsson) and that these customers will like SE as a brand and grant its future (which is a good thing for all of us since we will likely buy SE in the future).
Missing bluetooth however is really bad... Having it would have ment going far beyond Nokia! Young guys able to play with eachother in an easy way, exchanging melodies and backgrounds. Then group dynamics take place... A couple of people playing with the phone stimulates others to buy a similar model. That is what made Nokia's fortune!
So it is really a pity that no bluetooth will be available for the T300. Nokia would have been outdated among young people who always seek new products and differentiation...
What do you think?
Don't tell the phone is ugly... I have heard that and I agree partially. It is worse than t68i, but way better than other available entry-level phones

I would definately buy it if it is cheap due to these reasons:
Colour
MMS (The trend is catching up so going for a phone that is cheap and useful = typical Singaporeans!
Infared (Just look at this link for those who doubt it) (Make up for the loss of bluetooth capability) (Anyway people in my country seldom use bluetooth)
http://www.sonyericsson.com/communicasia/index.htm?english/frameset.htm,products/t300.htm
Interchageable covers (For thoese who think that it comes only withe the childish blue cover, the link will prove you wrong again)
(The have it in reflugent sliver)
I don't ask for a too high tech phone as I won't be always using those features so the T300 would be my next phone considering the price that is!
