I don't like the size of the S700i but its a VERY nice phone.
Mates have them and you can't can't help playing with the slider, some of them have opening it down to a fine art, being able to just flick it open and closed one handed without looking.
Co-worker just bought one and she's really happy with it.

i just got one mayeb a week or 2 ago. i have mastered opening it. it is a little large which bothers me some, but once the w800i comes out, ill have both and will switch them back and forth. you really get used to the swivel, and once u have it for awhile, you develop a certain way to open it, so you almost always know which way to close it.
Its good to be back! |

the s700i is a good idea with poor implementation. The S600 is what the s700 should have been.
The twist open of the s700i should have been more like the Moto V80. The S700 is too cumbersome to do one handed casually.
My fave phone is the K750 (pending a close look at one and the release of the w800), but given the crappy ergonomics of the s700, and the size of the P series too big for my liking, the K700i still comes in a strong 2nd favourite.

i like both the p910i and the s700. big phones but have good features and quite nice designs.i like the smartness of the p910i and the s700s design which looks nice. i also like the k700 and the k750 but i do have a soft spot for the p910i and the s700

Everyone has their own requirements. That's why ultimately there is no "best phone".

S7 has got a 780 mah batt. At my usage it would die in ca half day. At least with 1260 mah batt should have been that fone launched imo. Even the t20 has a 1150 mah batt...

@bobafett
My S700 is very very heavily used.
In fact if I put it down for more than 30 seconds my hand aches BUT, I have never thought of the battery as inadequate. That big screen must eat up the energy big time but mine seems to go on and on like the Duracell bunny. . |

Similar to the K700, I imagine if you trickle charge every night, it will last through the day.
If I don't leave my K7 on charge every night, it will runout during the day if I do much of anything other than calls. If I leave it on the charger in standby overnight, it always lasts through the day. It can last for up to three days with average use if no extras are used (cam, bluetooth etc).
I would like better, but that said, I don't find myself with a dead battery very often, so it works for me..

@bobafett Wouldn't a battery with a higher mah rating go flat more quickly?
Surely one would use the lowest mah possible that could support the phone as that would be a more efficient use of power. I seem to be able to get a full day of constant use but 4days of light use and it is a while before the battery indicator starts to fall. |
