is your brother in law an esato user too?
IrDA is fine if you would use it for other devices you got, but if it's just the phone the datacable is fine. i got a data cable (a flash cable converted by a fellow esato user) for less than USD 7. |

Yes he is. Btw hes using exactly the same datacable like mine. (No conversion) he doesnt encounter any prob

who's your brother-in-law? i mean, the nick that he uses here.
no modifcation? so that means you got the original cable from ericsson? how much was it? |

MarvinRG. He got our datacable from a forumer here at esato. Its not ericsson. It cost PhP 350

Hmm ... that forumer could be our cable guy -ying. is it him?
marvinRG, is that his nick here? it doesnt ring a bell.
why dont you ask your brother in law to test your cable? if the cable works for him, then it really is a problem with your setup. |

If your OS on your PC is Windows ME or 2000 the MPM may not work properly

I use windows 2000 without any problems with MPM. |

i also got my cable from ying. i didnt have any problems with it (nor the others who have bought cables from him).
but just to be sure, have your brother in law try your cable and see if it works
