is there any difference between the sandisk and sony duo's (performance wise)? or is it just the brand name making it more expensive?

its just the brand name actually, but there is a difference between a black sony memstick duo pro with a DARK Gray sony memstick duo pro (HIGH-Speed) its 80mbs..... another thing if you would look at the W800 pics its with the Sandisk 512mb memory stick duo pro, so I guess the difference is between a Highspeed and a non-High speed (older version) |

1) are there fake memory stick duo?
2) do all brand names compatible in K750i?
3) what is the brand name of the memory stick that you think is the best to use? (quality & price)
thanks! |

I haven't come across a fake memory stick duo, memory sticks regardless of branding are all the same. But note that memory stick duo and memory stick pro duo are different. I think sandisk is a good brand for memory sticks.

Normal memory sticks are limited to 128mb. You won't get a memory stick duo of say..256mb. While pro duos of 2gb are available today. I've read here somewhere that pro duos have the capability to reach storage capacity of upto 32gb! Phones which supported memory sticks cannot take pro duos. I am not sure whether newer phones which support produos are backward compatible with normal memsticks.
