I am a very techie, very very techie but I still prefer Symbian on my phone. Its a phone, pocket pc is way to PDA orientated and unstable. I want my phone to be a phone first.
Without installing extra's windows mobile dosnt even show your battery level :| |

Wi-fi at last!
Let's hope the p1000,as well as Ellen and Zoe, are available sooner than later... to hopefully cause a decent enough impact in SE's world sales and a more optimistic financial footing by Q4...

rubbish  its in the settings/system menu
probably what you mean though is that without extra apps its not shown on the standby screen but that never worried me before as I rely on the warnings to let me know if I need to charge

masseur. Yes, thats what I mean.
We supplied some HP iPAQs to a customer who had used nokias all his life. He thought I was kidding when I told him how to check his battery level. He was also more miffed when I told him to turn the phone off that you couldnt, you can put it into standby and to turn off the phone features you have to click on the screen and enter flight mode. He still dosnt believe me this is how you do it |

@dannyoneill, agreed. thats not the most intuitive way to turn off a phone
anyway, I've had the P800, the P900 and the P910 and I wouldn't be at all surprised to find myself with the next model, whatever it should be called, if only to check it out
curiosity might have killed the cat but it keeps me alive!

if it coming in out in a couple of weeks, surely someone on here would have known by now. hope it is cos my contract is up on the 17th of june, although i bet it is vey expensive when it first comes out |

TRUST ME, the SONY "perfect realese time" is september, dont know if it applies to  tho, but Sony tend to release all there big gagets, for example the playstation series, in sept.
so i'll be expecting it then, but i just gotta a p910  and i probably cant afford the p1000, i expect a price tag of around £500, my p910 is got for a few more years yet, i only just got rid of my N-Gage |
