Nokia have announced that they will release 10 color-phones within this year,..so we might see something new,..who knows
About 7650,..I spoke to Nokia at the bluetooth-show,..about the missing bluetooth headset profile,..they were encountering some problems with their version of the Symbian and bluetooth audio profile,. but also said that when ready, this would come as a software-upgrade.
I also had a look at the P-800,..hmm,..its got nice features, but I still think it lacks a bit in design,..just my personal opinion.

Nokia will have to wait with 3G like all other companies! Vodafone have said they will not launch 3G until next year!

I have yet to see WCDMA in the USA but Sprint has released their "3G" 1xRTT system by the name of "Vision". Nokia could be releasing a phone for Sprint but the network is really not up to speed. It seems that 3G is a waste in the USA since most people need a phone for calling and not data. 1xRTT has been really disappointing since it was released in the USA but hopefully when EDGE and WCDMA are out, those will run much better. |

I will be very honest the 7650 has a better design and is more stylish than the P800 ,not because i bought it ,its a fact but P800 is an overall better phone....but get this Nokia announced that the 7650 is in the imaging phone category and not in the smartphone category like the P800...so are Nokia gonna come out with a SMARTPHONE?????????????

"better design and is more stylish"
...not saying i disagree with you but it cant be fact, more likely an opinion.
the 7650 would be in the imaging phone category as it's not a phone/pda.
you wont find people trading their Palm & handsets in for a 7650 whereas you will find them doing this for the P800.
they both have inbuilt cameras, the comparisons stop there really.

It's true. As I have mentioned in other threads before, people tend to compare 7650 to P800 just because their sizes are roughly the same and they were announced around the same time.
7650 is really on par with T68i + Communicam, it can't do anything more than what the T68i + Communicam can achieve together. But Nokia does have a Smartphone, ever heard of the 9210 Communicator? That phone is competing in the same customer-segment as P800. Of course, we all know which of those two phones is far more superior, though we should put into consideration that P800 is being released almost one year after 9210-series.

If the 7650 is an imaging phone with that size than nokia seems to be a very sh*t company. For f*cks sake why didnt they make a phone that big with 65000 colours and a camera which can take normal pictures because the mca20 makes far better images. And 4mb storage to a phone that supports java aswell.
The one who buys this phone is a bit poor in mind!
Sorry, but its true. |

better design? stylish?
i care more on function, capabilities, upgradability. does 7650 have those? if not.... then p800 is more stylish. ...and have better design. without it being really in the criteria. |

Gekko, try the 7650, and come back.
You can store many Java applets, and a lot of pix in the phone w/o any problem! E.g. you get very good Java games for just about 300kBytes. And pix, well, a lot!!!!
How many photos can your T68 store?? Hmmm??
How many Java games can you get in there
And what about P800... It's not even here yet!
How many SE phones have integrated FM radio???
7650 is the only GSM phone with integrated camera on the market so far! Everybody here says Nokia lacks behind SE.... well that prooves the opposite!
Not that I don't acknowledge SE nice techy phones, but objectivity never hurts |
