i am very tempted to buy one, but dont want to give £300 for the phone, funny enough i am waiting to upgrade to a s700 because of the styling, great design, and thats not available on T-mobile UK.

Hi people
I finally got my k750i. Its such a great phone and what an improvement it is, from the last phone I had with SE the k700. I think i'l be keeping this phone for a long time to come. I was going to buy this phone sim free for £300. However I decided to get it on vodafone at the carphonewarehouse. At the carphone warehouse this phone is free. Its half price rental for the 1st six month for 200 mins £15 per month. From month 4 to 6 carphonewarehouse pays my £45 to cover my line rental for those month. After the 6th month I am dropping the line rental again to £15 a month and will get 30 mins free per month.
I think thats the best deal I have seen on contract for the k750. The phone is also unbranded has no branded vodafone software. So far the phone has been great. |

Got a CPW related question, since I'm getting the k750i there tomorrow; I previously had O2 with CPW acting as billing. When visiting france, I had lots of problems with getting coverage as only one of the providers there actually let me roam.
Am wondering if the roaming agreements are done by CPW or O2, as I found my gf's vodafone (admittedly directly with vodafone, not through CPW billing) to have coverage at all times.
Would I get better roaming if I had a contract directly with vodafone, rather than through CPW billing? |

Nah should be the same mate the service as u said yourself is from o2 or vodafone but the billing is done by CPW thats all. Its odd bout the reception problem only thing id sugest is maybe manually search for networks when u abroad |

No I tried using automatic search, I even got "blocked" indicator icons next to all networks except the one that let me roam. |

Thats weird. O2 have roaming agreements with all french providers so you should have been able to use them all.

As regards the problem with porting from CPW O2 to CPW Voda, I'm not entirely sure that's wrong. It definitely shouldn't be like that, but because the service provider is the same, even though the networks are different, I'm not sure a port would work. You might have to go to Voda direct. All PAC codes from CPW begin VTM+6 digits, so I think the MNP website would think it is a migration.
Don't know if that makes sense to anyone...

Ok, will go and check at CPW right now. How would they handle someone wanting to go from O2 to vodafone, but stay with CWP billing otherwise? It's not an upgrade? |

No, it's not an upgrade, and ordinarily shouldn't be an issue. But technically when you port, you are moving service providers, meaning that if you are with one service provider on one network (CPW O2) it may not be possible to move to another network if you stay with the same service provider. To be honest, I'm not entirely sure - I would check with Carphone Warehouse MNP (08456558000).

Change to Vodafone on CPW went ok, the guy i first talked to must have been inexperienced.. The K750I seems very nice, although they keys are a bit small... |

I wonder if CPW will sell a K750i unlocked with T-Mobile connections? |

I doubt it. T-Mobile are highly unlikely to approve the sale of the K750i (which they would have to do, for CPW to be able to offer it on T-Mobile connections) as they have their own branded version in the D750i, which they would prefer their users to use, as it's pre-configured (and locked!).
