1024kb does equal 1megabyte; however when you buy a hard drive, before formatting it you will not get the full advertised data space. Ex 40gbytes youll see about 38 and change. On your memorystick duo how much memory is the total registered? The full 64MB? Not likely and until somebody post a photo 2 prove then i agree with 1000kilobytes equalling a megabyte in the real world.

firstly, 1024kb = 1mb therefore 1024mb = 1gb, but the memory available will be around 948mb due to the memory cards filing system called FAT32. Anyways, back on topic-cheapest place i've found for cheap memory cards except from ebay is http://www.mymemory.co.uk they sell both Sony original and other brands at very reasonable prices! :-)

The adapter lets you use your small DUO stick in a non duo product. eg, a sony cybershot.
here, maybe this will help:

Memory Stick Pro DUO - (smaller than memory stick PRO, used in psp's, Pxxx, k750 etc..)

Memory Stick PRO (will not fit in a k750)

You need to use the MS adapter so that a duo will fit in a non duo product such as a sony cybershot camera.

hope you understand now. for the k750, the adapter is useless
I recommend you get a sandisk duo. there cheaper and exactly the same as the sony ones only the branding is different
Memory Stick PRO duos on ebay
