same here, this is what im waiting for, just reminded me of my gold t68 with the original fw. but why in the contacts and not in the calendar? does it mean that if i want a repeating reminder, i have to re-enter the event in the contact? and what happen if i sync it to outlook? TIA

Mr. Masseurt maybe your wrong another time: the repeated calendar item, which you can not enter directly in the k700 but through Outlook: it does not appear as a single event each year but as a repeted event. If you open the item you'll see the icon. Also if it would be a single one for each year it woul add up for the count which it doesn't.

The interaction between k700 (and all other phones based on the same pieve of software I suppose) and Outlook make the agenda much more uesable - if of course you use Outlook.

Indeed...

But about k750, will this trick work:

Imagine i want to add a recurrent event, but not a birthday

IŽd create a "contact" with the description of that event on the name field

Than iŽd add the date info in the birthday option, and click yes for adding to calendar

Then iŽd delete this "contact"

Will the recurrent event still be in the calendar???

is there anyway possible that when inputting a bday into a contact and having a recurrent bday in calendar, that you can change the time from 9am to what one wants!?

Arez - if the above is not possible, your method would mean you could only create appointments for 9am and nothing else.

I use Outlook too, and when I need a repeted event I put it into my phone as a normal event and edit it in Outlook later to make it repeted.

I'm working on Linux, so don't have the fun (or is that pain) of Outlook. To get a recurring appointment, I created a vCalendar text file like this:

BEGIN:VCALENDAR
VERSION:1.0
BEGIN:VEVENT
DTSTART:20051015T114000Z
DTEND:20051015T114000Z
SUMMARY:Something to do now
DALARM:20051015T114000Z
AALARM:20051015T114000Z
RRULE:W1 #0
END:VEVENT
END:VCALENDAR

and beamed it to the K750i with Bluetooth. This defines a weekly alarm (W1) repeating forever (#0) (all times in UTC as timezones confuse the poor thing). It looks like SE have only implemented a subset of the vCalendar standard, so it took some experimenting to get this working.

Hope this helps.

@ Arez

i did what you suggested.

1. created dummy contact and entered recurring appointment date as birthday.

2. deleted dummy contact

3. recurring appointment still exists in calendar!

4. went to calendar and opted to delete the appointment. phone asks you if you want to delete the recurring appointment..

true. still can't change hour reminder of birthday. wonder why they didn't add that option, like in nokias.. there is the option if you're creating single appointments though

btw, i was hoping i can find a decent lunar calendar for k750.. searched but to no avail..
