off. without doubt leaving bluetooth on drains battery life whether it is transferring or not. I've never been bluejacked either, even with leaving it on sometimes by accident after leaving work... I must be hanging in the wrong circles.

Yeah i too agreed tat leaving it on does decrease the batt but it all depends on the bluetooth radio. Eg P910's bt radio will consume more power than T610's radio because its more powerful

well, i keep bt on all the time since my t610 days and i havent noticd a significant drop in average battery life

I leave my bluetooth on all the time as I use a BT headset and use it to connect with my PC most nights.

Given the choice I would use the automatic mode but my computer will not find the phone when in auto.

He would be fine as that virus only affects series 60 phones. That is unless dc is using a series 60 of course.
