at&t t68i unlocking to use in the uk |

So I just unlocked my t68i running on Cingular's network in NYC this morning. I used logosunlimited.com for the program and ordered the T28 cable from some random store on Yahoo shopping for $10. After 3 failures to recognize the password, it worked like a charm. It generated an 8 digit code that immediately unlocked the little lock.
Next step is to swap sim cards with someone on T-Mobile's network and the ultimate test comes in 2 weeks in Argentina, Brazil, and Uruguay. I'll keep you posted.
BTW....Cingular rep told me this morning that they will give you the unlock code once you've been a customer for 90 days (which I am not yet), so i probably could have avoided calling logos to get the ID and password, installing the program....etc. Oh well...just happy it's unlocked. |

I am facinated with this thread. I have a locked T68i from AT&T. I don't have any immediate need to switch sim cards for international travel, but some day I might.
So after a successful unlock, you can still use all the AT&T services with no problem? For $22? Sounds too good to be true.
Thanks guys for posting this great info.

Yes it will still work with AT&T along with any other cellular network simcard that you want may want to use in the future.
You'll be glad to know that it now costs £10 UKP (roughly $15 USD)...

...but you still need to purchase the T28 cable (which can be seen on this page http://www.logosunlimited.co.uk/ericsson_cables.htm for the cost of £12.99)

@Pablo01,
Yes, it'll work on your AT&T T68i in fact I unlocked 3 of them last month no problem.
Alternate place to buy log (after you get the T28 cable (not the same as the data cable) of course) locally in the US is contact Adam in Las Vegas, NV.
Good luck!

is the T28 service cable available anywhere in the US?
my sister is in london at the moment -- and using my locked to AT&T T68i i might add -- and i asked her to try to locate this cable for me. i have a feeling tho that she is gonna come back either empty handed or w\ some data cable that isnt equipt to unlock the phone.
i posted something to the Europe/Asia/Africa board asking people if the T28 service cable was easily obtainable at local cell phone shops in london, but i havnt recieved a reply. then again, i havnt checked in like a week.
also... for those who have unlocked their cell, what is the "8 digit" code? is it just digits 0 thru 9, or must the <<>> <> joystick be used? (the later of the 2 gets VERY confusing!!)

I tried unlocking my at&t t68i but i keep getting "unable to enter boot mode. please try again" message on unlocking software. I am using windows xp (not 98) with usb-to-serial converter (my laptop does not have a serial port) and t28 unlock cable. There was a post here before from someone who got it working with windows xp. did anyone else have a similar problem? |

ok, i found an answer to that: the unlocking tool just does not work with windows xp. It worked just fine on windows 2000 pro. Thanks to the guys in www.logosunlimited.co.uk for all their help and support with unlocking my T68i. They provided excellent service! |

It was still £10. Which place did you get it from? |

Use the e-mail address on there to contact one Adam Roth. He's based in America so payment can be accepted via PayPal (USD) (One log cost $8 == £5)
Once you send him the payment, he will forward you a username and password and also a link to the software that is required to access HIS server. You can not, I repeat CAN NOT, use the same program that you downloaded from LogosUnlimited as that contacts a different server where the password that Adam gives won't work.
Adam is one of the biggest players in the american market for remote unlocking of T68i phones and is highly rated on http://www.howardforums.com. Also, he will refund you any logs that you do not make use of so you can safely order more should anything go wrong... and if it doesn't you can reclaim the unused log

Not as cheap as Adam Roth's service which is $8 per credit whereas you are charging $20... so hmmm tough choice... NOT!
