@MViper:
The higher the compression rate, the lower the quality and the lower the amount of memory used.
Usually, imaging softwares like paintshop pro, ACD see etc have the option to select the compression rate or the quality of the jpeg files when saving them. So, do that on your PC prior to uploading the pictures on the phone. |

The size is not so important. Because, u can save for example 640x480 image and 7650 will automaticaly resize it to ful screen mode when u choose picture for background. Size's aren't so important.. Important however is size of kb's.. I put there 640x480 picture and it was i think around 60kb's.. when i resized it to 174×132 the size shrunk to 5 kb's.. so that's important..

The size in this case is very important 'cause the ratio of pictures was so different. The ratio in 640x480 and 174x132 is about the same, but 176x208 has much different ratio and it doesn't look good as a wallpaper. The picture have to be scaled down to fit, but the ratio is not changed.

Hey orange!
Thanx for the answer(s)
Yes, i saw yesterday, when i put there 176x208 the picture was small, but when i resized it to 174x132 is pretty the same than 640x480, except it's smaller. So in some cases there is difference between sizes.. Something new again for me thanx!
i have around 3172kb's memory available.. so it's around 70% of free memory, but why was still report that it couldn't open the message??
So if i know something, the message supposed to be bigger than 3172kb's? So that means 3 MB's.. And as far as i remember, the message wasn't that big.. so.. what's the problem? Any idea?
Did i miss anything?
But i have very little pictures on phone. I don't have a photo album I have 4 thumbnails (portraits) and 1 background, that's it! I saw around 350kb's in Calendar.. is this eraseble or should i leave it alone?
Thanx again!
