Hi,you need to download the software from that website and basicvally just install it, you then open up the program and move your mp3's to the converter double click and then its say's if its been converted you then bluetooth that converted file across to your phone,. nightmare isn' it.
If you have any probs email me and I will send you the package and instructions.

**Batesie I read your post on sony ericssons after searching the net to get help with my sony ericssons S700i so I could put mp3 on my fone and you wrote....
(((Well thats whats causing you the problem. Vodafone has put their own software on it with copyright protection, basically means you can only download content bought from Voda. Even if you own the original CD. you cant set them as ringtones. (voda want to make money by selling ringtones.
This is personally enough of a reason never to use vodafone full stop.
There are a few ways to get around this, like flashing unbranded software on it. And there are a few people around on the forum that could help you on that side of things...)))
**I was a bit annoyed having upgraded my phone to one which does mp3 to find it didnt work and to read what you wrote, however it prompted me to email vodafone and complain that they didnt explain this to me...and it turns out that what you wrote is not true at all...the problem is a glitch on the phone and all you have to do is go into a vodafone connect official store and they will download some software on to your handset and then you can put as much mp3 as you want on your phone. It has nothing to do with vodafone trying to make money or vodafone branded phones at all!!!
Take care

MY REPLY FROM VODAFONE AFTER I EMAILED THEM REGARDING PUTTING MP3 ON MY NEW S700i!!!
Thank you for your mail regarding the use of MP3 on the S700i, and apologies for any inconvenience.
In order to use MP3 files on your handset, please visit your local Vodafone retail store, where the relevant software can be downloaded which allows you to add as many mp3 files to your phone as you want.
If there is anything else we can help you with, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Kind Regards,

The Story So Far:
Snapshot of the options, till now- # Using the DRM software. ## A patchwork from The Operator (Voda Retail Store)
### Flashing, Debranding.. And for this a PM to either '619' or 'Gbrooks' ought to be a beginning..

In regards to hk0002, or anyone else who's went to a Vodaphone store. Did they download some new data into your phone and did it enable you use mp3s as ring tones?
I'm wondering, because I have the same problem as everyone else with a vodafone k700.
thanks |
