Hello,
As mentioned on the website, Mobile-Speed compresses HTML pages and their content.
Images, archives and other data that is already compressed, can't be compressed further.
Try this for a RAW html test : http://www.izaino.com/meter.asp

hmmmm not bad a huge jump from around 29kbp/s (without proxy enabled) to 140kbp/s (with proxy enabled)
compression from 44kb to around 15kb
Good work ^_^
Looking forward for other compression on IM or other applications .
Worth a try dude ^_^
IT WORKS

You could try IM through the proxy, if your IM client supports HTTP proxies.

Opera does something like this already. I used a trial version of it about a year ago. Seemed to work ok.
They call it mobile accelerator and you can see it here: Opera Mobile Accelarator

Opera Mobile Accelerator cust off image quality.
Mobile-Speed compressed HTML content with no quality loss.
Image reduction is something we plan on adding soon.

@mobileground
Any plans of coming up with J2ME-based IM app (for MIDP 2.0) that takes advantage of your compression technology? |

Hi,
We aren't much into J2ME development, but what I can say for start is the Mobile-Speed is just the begining of a range of services we plan to offer for mobile users.
What will be next :
@mobile-speed.com email accounts with :
WAP access
light HTML access (with compression!)
POP3 access
SMS notifications (for every email or every X hours, and so on)
... and as usual, any good ideeas and suggestions are welcomed.
