More than likely. Doesn't the first letter of the code name match the Model range letter? e.g. Sakura = S800 or whatever.
The S700 is a redeveloped japanese model so I think Sakura will be based on a japanese model possibly the W31S:
BTW: Sakura is the name of a Japanese City.

i doubt W31S would be k800 , but it has chance to be next s series phone.

i can 100% say it aint the W31s... i mentioned the W31s and all i got back was is that we are goin to look into it as a handset and see how it performs... i.e they dont reckon the Sakura is going to be the Euro W31s... Plus the comment about the first letter normally being the group its goin to is wrong totally.... take the Fone ELLEN.... and LINN....
all i wanna know is do they have a book of names they jus take out of randomly!

Theyre are many more models on the way.
I would suspect sakura to be a better S700i or toned down S700i, which is Ellen i think...

Well if I think that Voda is looking in to Sakura then it is more than likely going to be 3G, as Vodafone Live 3G is receiving a big marketing push so this will more than likely be the 3G candybar or a larger K600 with expandable memory would seem most likely to me.
Eldar also hinted at a smaller S series so these would seem to be two seperate phones because it is my reckoning that a smaller S series would be around the same size as the K600. 
K800 doesn't sound to off the wall to me as we were all suprised when the K600 appeared.
Rumours are also abound the that replacement P series will not be 3G - just smart.

There's no way that the next P-series can't be 3G...that would be plain stupid...thankfully these are just rumours.

I know. The next P series must have something that speeds it up. GPRS WAP is just to slow for a Smartphone in my opinion.
I know there are a lot of P Series rumours flying around but hopefully the final product will be 3G. |
