Thats possible because your operator allows that functionality. Majority don't.

So its not possible with AirTel Wap .... so have anyone tried wirelessgmail.com

Checking Gmail on a K-series phone using the built in e-mail client works fine! Just make sure TLS is enabled and that you have entered the following domain in the TLS settings: pop.gmail.com

Also make sure incomming port is 995 and that incomming server is set to pop.gmail.com (same as TLS domain).

It's the OUTGOING settings that some operators restrict - not the incomming!

profimail or any other email client for UIQ/S60 will work for gmail....

it is just an error/compatablity trouble for the inbuilt client in k-series.

@cyber visitor: I will try it out ... by the way what do i have to give for Mailbox ..do i have to give my full name (eg. name@gmail.com) or just the username...bcos the first method doesnt have enough characters to be entered in my phone

Web Gprs in india is damp slow. and also costs a lot. it is better to stick with web based e-mail (on wap).
