The S700 clearly has the better quality overall. Pictures in the S700 are completely in focus while the K750 blurs out certain sections of a picture.
After lokking at all the comparisons..... Conclusion ........
K750 provides a bigger picture giving the illusion of a better picture, until you look at all details as a whole you will notice the S700 quality resembles that of a real digi cam. Take your time to study all angles.
click back and forth and you will realize at least for now that the S700
overall takes a complete picture overall.

S700i takes better pictures overall. Allthough when there is enough light the K750 takes really good pictures. Indoor and bad lit the k750 sensor just doesnt cut it.
However. The K750 feels much more modern. Menus animate more. Looks better. Full screen video. Playlists. Double light diodes. Camera slider covers whole lens.

No, the pictures taken by the S700i are not completely in focus. Study them carefully and you can see slight blurring towards the edges of the picture.
The K750 does take better pictures, have said so themselves !
The K750 like all high quality digital cameras can focus on one section of the picture, and the rest is shown as background. Its not because the K750 cannot focus on the whole picture, its because it has the ability to choose whether to or not.
The S700i has fixed focus, so the whole time it tries to focus on the whole image.

S700 takes sharp pictures (like any fixed focus camera) relative Y disance from your standing point and forward. Pictrues taken closer than Y will be more or less blurred.
With K750, you can take sharp picture from close range upto infinity depending on what you are fousing on (press half way, make K750 focus on a dsistant object, move camera to your close object and shoot, eqal or sharper picture than S700).
You have to understand the Depth Of Filed (DOF) effect to understand why K750 works as it does (or any other camera with aurofocus).

I thought the reason being why the k750's background is blured was because of a certain setting been put on??
Overall s700 is a good cameraphone but isnt no wayy nearly as good as the k750. SE even said "finaly a camera phone which is good enough to act as a proper digital camera which you can take on holiday to snap photo's"
Most people would agree with me when i say that the s700 doesn't quite cut it, when you take it on holiday and that you would MUCH rather take a proper camera. We'll have to see if thats the case with the k750. |

Cheers Arne Anka, you're better explaining things like that than me.
I'd say the same, although the S700i is great it cannot compete with a proper digital camera, but the K750 can.
Btw, heres another example of how the K750 can focus on something close, and blur the background:
See how the glass is perfectly sharp, and the rest of the scene is slightly out of focus ? very artistic !

You got bent out of shape several days ago when some one called you a dumbass. Yet you make a comment such as :
"Christ ! do none of you people know anything about basic photography ? ".
I've not disrespected anyone here. This is a forum to discuss and share views. Be careful with your comments.
I do know about photography and there is nothing wrong with sharing one's view.

I wouldnt say i got "bent out of shape" - as if i reacted with an equally childish comment as the guy who did the flaming.
I respect your opinion, but you claimed that the K750 cannot take sharp images, when really it can. You seemed to be unaware of such photographic techniques the K750 and other digital cameras are capable of.
