My largest bill was USD 3000. Made lots of international calls while roaming across 5 countries and had HSCSD on for quite a while. It was expected but it's still kinda big. |

3000USD 100USD per day, every day for a month. That's just stupid. You could have bought a phone in every country you went to (on contract upfront) and paid less than that.

OK, a couple of tips...
First of all, I use Telco. If you're on Orange, 0800 calls are free. Calls through Telco cost something like 4p a minute (at least to land-lines) which is an incredible saving in the daytime. Had a look on their website, but can't find the details of the package I have, but it still works for me. I think there are probably other companies who do this anyway.
Secondly 'Sainsburys mobile' have a deal where they give you the cheapest possible tarriff from any network according to the calls you make in any month. Seems a good deal...

I cannot yet believe it: 1300 Euros, but in roaming. I didn't called too much, just answered a lot, that it's quite the same!

450 euro's which all in all was kind of cheap for the amount of time I spent calling from Asia to South America. Made me wonder how stupid the roaming really is, it's more expensive to call to the country of origin (in this case the Netherlands) than another country on another continent. Pretty crappy imo.

Well roaming be expensive. But I think that its really useful to be in touch when abroad. I tend to use text messaging when abroad and try my best not to accept/make any voice calls. |

usually around €1000 for a month, but the worst one was €2200 after a roaming trip in east Europe. This is due to many calls from/to US and other European countries |
