Its really the most stupidest of reasons i have heard. How do you hold your phone next to your ear? With the help of vice or something? Just hold the phone lightly dont try to push it inside your ear.

Funny you should state this. When i had the k7,my outer ears used to itch and burn.Maybe connected to this,as it doesn't happen anymore.

If the k700 was made to be so uncomfortable, you guys have to agree that SE has failed here..
I usually make & recieve calls in busy areas so the option of leaving a gep btw phone and ear wont work cos i wont hear a thing
Besides, I've used a T610 and it's way better and more comfortable than k700 no matter how you press it against your ear...
now I look at my k700 and see it as a threat to my ear..

Turn on the speaker and use the phone with keypad and screen facing outwards. ;-)

Strange. Why is it childish?
I position the upper front edge of the phone (where the speaker holes are) just about the level where the holes of my ears are, and I find it quite comfortable and loud enough, even if I press it a bit it doesn't hurt even on long conversations. It's probably just a matter of wrong position.
resistance is futile. |

You're saying he has big ears that stick out significantly ?
He could get them pinned back, that might cure his problem.

Can anyone point out which part of the K700 that can potentially hurt someone's ears? I can't figure it out at all although I don't press the phone into my ear.

Yeah, I fail to see how you can possibly hurt your ears, except if you try to push it inside your ears...
My suggestion would be: set the loudness level to maximum, and let some distance between your phone and your ear! 1-2cm away for instance...

I suppose this problem is dependant upon frequency of calls made.If your a 'loner',who receives little or zero calls...Chances are you're not gonna get sore listeners....On the other hand,if you're a social king/average joe...You may notice this nagging problem.
