Or, could it be that this is the problem :
This is what I found in the Sony_Ericsson_Update_Service_v1.18_Installog :
Modify Text File - Single File: New File C:\hf.path
Status: ERROR
Additional Notes: ERROR - java.lang.NullPointerException
Modify Text File - Single File: New File C:\Program Files\Sony Ericsson\Update Service/Sony Ericsson Update Service v1.18.tmp
Status: ERROR
Additional Notes: ERROR - java.lang.NullPointerException
Could someone please check and see if this is normal ?????

Forgive me for not reading the entire post but...
1) did u install the latest version of Java?
2) are you using Win2k or WinXP?
3) did u install the correct drivers for your synchstation?

1) YES.
2) xp sp2 (turned off firewall , pop-up blocker and norton avp)
3) downloaded the drivers from the se, found the ones for win98, and for win2k, tried both of them, and nothing but "Synchstation not found." However, I can do the synchronisation, the only problem is that when I open Myphones, seems like the computer doesn't recognize s700i, like it is not connected.

You may want to disable PhoneMonitor (or even uninstall it).. It may prevent SEUS from detecting your phone in the cradle...

Sounds like you have something wrong with your drivers:
Uninstall all synchstation software and drivers.
The go here: http://www.sonyericsson.com/d[....]s/Sync_Station_DSS_Drivers.zip
and follow these instructions:
Requirements
Sync Station DSS
Windows operating system 98/98SE/ME/2000/XP
Installation instructions
1. Download the USB Drivers to your PC. Note the download location.
2. Unzip the files, remember where you placed them.
3. Insert the cable to an unused USB port.
4. Follow the instructions on your screen (the 'found new hardware' wizard will guide you through the installation process).
5. If the 'found new hardware wizard' doesn't start automatically, open the program by choosing: start / settings / control panel / add hardware.
6. If needed, guide the installation wizard to where you placed the files after the unzip.

Tomcat, its going to be hard to diagnose this one easily since none of us know exactly how what sutff is running on your pc...or what you could be doing wrong...
Couldsomeone that lives closeby to tomcat, please pay him a visit to help him out?
I give up!

I think you have messed up your computer with all this driver "testing". Had a similar problem with my P910 and the DSS-25. My solution was a clean new install of Windows XP, after that all my problems vanished.
Another thing i have noticed before is with the Davinci DSS drivers, i got some problem with SE programs and FMA when they was installed. |
