First thing I saw it was.."Wow..The screen is so much better than my 7250i!!!" (Nokia) And then when I actually got to use it, it was so smooth..... |

First thing i saw was that it was so small, the next thing was the vodafone branding that made me hate it and return it to buy a unbranded one. i got the second one and couldnt believe how small it is. The battery will only last about half a day at the start but as you use it it will last longer |

Tranquill took the words just out of my mounth:the expectations were so high that i imediately decided to get the p910i andi wasn't wrong at all.I used the t610 for a year and a half and the k700 didn't make too much of an impression to me.But for u who owns a t300 it'll blow u away man! Good choice :)

I had T68i so, my first impression with k700i was much faster menu. Menu and animation of the menu that looks great |

When I 1st handled the phone, I disliked it. A week later I had another look & upgraded from a T610 to this model.
I actually like the look now. The screen is the most obvious aspect I noticed 1st, large, clear, colourful & visible over a reasonably wide angle. The 2nd thing I noticed was the excellent audio quality - from ringtones, MP3s & Radio through the external speaker to call quality on the internal one. The real killer is the RF performance. The K700i on Voda UK will make, receive & hang on to calls in marginal reception conditions like no other phone I know of - this phone's core function is 2nd to none IMO & doing so with low SAR & an internal aerial. The K700 is far better than the T610 in this respect & easily better than the T39.
The camera stills are OK but not startling, video isn't bad tho. My old HBH-15 now works without break-up, where my T39 (which I'll never part with - a classic) & T610 were poor. The UI is better than previous models & finally street addresses can be stored. Little touches like previous SMS recipients being listed save a few steps & don't forget the options on the C key from the Home menu or the camera shortcuts.
No, it's not perfect but fairly close. I get reasonable battery life (helped by using dark themes), no dust after 3 months but does creak a bit after firmware upgrade, oddly enough.
Enhancements to its replacement would be better camera (optical zoom would be nice but wouldn't expect to see that for at least another year) & an external mini SD slot (not out of the question - SE did recently join the SD SIG).
Other enhancements include the number of stored SMSs, phonebook entries, MP3s, voice labels, accepted caller list etc be only limited to the total memory available.
As for the UI, menu item reordering with the ability to hide rarely used functions would remove a lot of clutter. Please SE, can we have a quieter shutter sound with the option to silence it please? Being able to assign different themes to profiles would be great & lastly a web browser that can handle www pages.

First thing that caught my attention was the screen, big and bright Second was the 'feel' of the phone - best phone I have held in my hand (candybar form).
I love the way the buttons fade out when you put the phone down after use (especially in the dark). Great Phone! |

. . . to add more, don't forget to upgrade the firmware once bought (if what is installed is the 'stock' one mate). If you have a bigger budget, might as well get the S700 pal Nice though, Good Luck!

During the time it came out my first impression was "This is what I've been looking for". Comparing it to todays newer models is just plain ignorance IMO.
resistance is futile. |
