this is one hell of a headset. Got it yesterday for £139.99 from SE Eshop ordered it last Thursday. This phone is mega clear compaired to previous ones, I have just been wearing it all day and can say my ear is not sore and feels like I was not wearing it as for running up and down stairs with it on it would take a pick axe to take it off. A really snug fit, and due to most of the weight being in the back of it you really would not know it was on. Oh but it takes a while to get used to putting it on but hey well done SE. Cannot wait for the next new release P800.

So how's the sound quality when use it in a windy situation, will you be able to use it or its too sensitivity to wind and can't use at all?? Thanks |

The headset is much better than the HBH-10/15 in windy conditions. I know these earlier models were totally unusable.
With the HBH-30 when it is breezy, people have mentioned to me that they can still hear some wind noise, but it does not break up the sound anywhere near as badly. See my post earlier in this thread for a comparison. |

Well, more thought from me --
unfortunately, for me (in New York City), the noisy street problem (and wind problem) do exist still with the HBH-30. I think I want to try to put that spongy thing around the front, like on certain boom headsets, while outside, to see if that deflects the wind.
But, what I have noticed, is today, I used up the headset this afternoon (I was on the phone for 2 hours on one call, plus others), but it recharged in less than 45 minutes, may have been even 30 minutes!
All in all, the headset is better voice quality, not much better in outdoor situations, marginally better on battery life than the HBH-15, much better on recharge time, and more comfy on the ear -- and lastly, and importantly for me, (my HBH-15 is on it's last hinge) much more rugged to carry around with you --the earpiece/battery is totally flexible.

Just something I discovered... Voice answering is PHONE dependent... The HBH-10 supports Voice answering when used with the T68i, but not with the DBA-10. Just something to make HBH-10 owners feel a bit better.  |

I've just bought it for 199 EURO in Breda, The Netherlands. I'm pretty pleased with it, after the crappy Motorola and the HBH-20, it's really cool!!!! |

Just another note for HBH-10/15 owners... regarding the mic postion... There are two ear pieces that came with either the HBH-10 or 15... these are NOT for ear sizes... these are angle choices... the common one that I've seen people using is the 90 degree angle earpiece...this makes the mic face your nose, or somewhere there... the second earpiece is angled downward... this makes the mic of the HBH10/15 face your mouth, much like the HBH-30. Just a note.
I'm still waiting for the HBH-30 to be available here in the Philippines. |

I was able to install a small wind-screen in my HBH-10... so far it's an improvement. Blocks about half of the normal wind noise. |

I have a T68i Sw.R2E006 and a HBH30 i just came off the phone with SE support here in sweden. They say that "Magic word" DONT work with this combination, and they dont know if it ever will...
I also am not completely satisfied with the range in which its supposed to work. Mine (2nd one) wont work over 3-5meters.
And btw how do i find what software is in the HBH30? |

Well, for me, as long as the headset can reach my phone while it's in any of my pockets...that's far enough. Bluetooth wasn't designed to be a long range form of communication anyway. I'm happy with the real world 2-3 meter range it has... that's what it was designed for... to get rid of those annoying 6 ft cables from your PDA->phone, PDA->PC, PC->phone, phone->headset. It's a bonus that it can now be used as a cordless phone with the upcoming homebase stations, or LAN access via AP node. I'd gladly sacrifice range for battery performance... pointless to have wireless tech, and have to recharge everytime you use it...that would mean having to bring a charger!
And for those HBH-30 owners who aren't happy with their purchase... I'd gladly take it off your hands to ease your frustrations!  hehehe... wishful thinking! |

I also own a HBH-30 (since 2 weeks). Overall I can confirm Markymark's findings. Previously I owned a HBH-10 for more than a year. My personal experience compared to the HBH-10:
HBH-30:
* Battery-life much better (but mine also falls to "medium" very quickly)
* Sensitivity to wind is still a problem (especially on a bike)
* More comfortable to wear (sits still when moving head)
* Bluetooth radius has not improved: I need to wear the phone on the same side as I'm wearing the headset, otherwise I get "digital distortions"... (your body adsorbes a lot Bluetooth-RF)
* holster has improved
* you don't need a special cradle anymore to charge. you can even use your phone's charger...
* battery-indication very easy to check
* better sound: more low-frequencies (more bass) and higher volume
* echo problem (other party hears an echo) is still there, but less than with HBH-10. Especially noticable when volume is set at max.level.
Overall, I am satisfied. After all, the soundquality and batterylife have improved. But I am a little disappointed for the wind-sensitivity and the loss of RF-power when your body stands in between the phone and the headset.
Regarding the wind-sensitivity: I'm looking for a small windjammer also...
Regarding the echo-problem: if you keep your volume a little (2 keypresses) under 100% it seems to be OK.
