Not necessarily, but that too is possible. There are other more features like, gprs pre enabled sims.

@lenn24: I doubt it, but let someone who knows verify. My WAP GPRS-enabled SIM is 32k, but I am upgrading to a 64k Internet GPRS-enabled SIM in the nearest future.

Does, gprs depend on card type? Or is it surely service provider dependent.

here in venezuela, the navegation gprs only can with sim card of 32K, the sim card of 16k dont can [addsig]

@gov: for 500/- you can change your airtel postpaid to airtel friends plan and 64k sim in banglore.

@whizkidd: I doubt if it is entirely network dependent. A 16k SIM is unlikely to be able to handle GPRS data rates, but will conveniently run CSD data.
