@govigov I dont really care if my smss are read, the only reason I would mind was if they were based on me or the other person doing wring which I'm not! I think should give an option to delete txts or not when sim is removed.

hmmm..... They do have the security feature asking for password. May be they should allow the last 5 sim's entered to access sms.

I think There's a simpler way. Just put an option in the locks menu of the phones by which one can choose whether to delete or not the sms stored in the phone memory while changing sims. And it it protected by the phone lock code! Thats simple isn't it?

But my problem is : I JUST remove the battery and replace the batt back (without removing the SIM) and all of my SMS are gone! How weird! Is this phone has to depend on the battery to store the SMS?

It's strange, the stored sms shouldn't erased in your case. What phone are you using?

that does sound a bit wrong. did anything else go missing, settings, numbers etc?

@govigov
going by the same logic then why not erase phone numbrs? surely phone numbers are more important than sms?if someone got thier hands on my phone, i would rather they didnt see certain numbers than read a couple of joke sms. [addsig]
