Yeah, I agree with Deltayoda. Get a decent education. That's the right path!

yeah, go to Aus - must be loads of jobs there as half their population's working in bars in London.

Take a job as a bus driver. I used to do that part time when I was studying at the University of Oslo. OK pay, but you wont become rich. It is at least better paid than a shop assistant. And safer than being a cab driver. K.A.

Are you rich and spoilt to not have an education? Or is it that you fooled around a lot and now you realise the value of a good education? In either case its never too late to hit the books.

But if you have a basic education then try merchant navy. They don't ask for any hi-tech degrees and though the initial years are quite demanding (physically), you will be able to make it as a captain in about 10 years time.

I had friends who joined this service after they finished 12th and are now first-mates in tankers and cargo ships. They get to travel a lot and get long (really long!) vacations once a year. Since they travel a lot, and can't take their wives along all the time - they usually have a different wife in different country - an added incentive to join

Kibbutz does not require anything... you just go there and live for about six months or more.... If you're rich, poor, it doesn't matter. You live and eat for free and have different jobs for the time you live there. I've thought about doing it for a long time and really think it would be a nice experience. You can look up information about it on
http://www.dalia.org.il/volunteer/
or read some guy's experience....

http://kibbutz.mybravenet.com/

or go to this site for jobs moving around the world.... http://www.payaway.co.uk/
Enjoy

People from all over the world go there and it's only dangerous if you go to the West Bank. I have many friends in Israel and there are only certain parts of the country that are "dangerous" nothing has ever been said to have happened on a Kibbutz....

If you're so worried about concentrating in School, come to the United States where you have classes for only an hour per a week for a four-year degree, and cheating is very easy (Gosh, so many people cheat here, it's not even worth working for a good grade, one of the reasons I hate Universities here). You can also screw around as long as you want, they don't kick you out, as long as you give them money

@maltesh I have a friend in the Merchant Navy, and I agree. The story he tells is pretty cool. And I think it much better than joining a military, plus you get a good education from them these days.

@Delta> It sure beats the military any day. And yes over the years my friends have got decent engineering and commercial degrees because they have classes on ship. They also get a pretty decent pay, lots of freebies and a good lifestyle. I sure would recommend it to anyone who finds going through college a hassle.
