Ok, so i have I-tunes and i see no converter.I use OGG but they r too big as files and i hope AAC would be smaller. Can any1 tell me if there's an add on to convert 'em to ACC, or i can't find it cuz i didn't pay for the i-tunes?!

If you think ogg is too big then AAC is nothing for you, try 64 kbit ogg, reasonable sound for a phone and small files.

Hi,
in Itunes, goto Edit-->Preferences-->Importing to set your preferred AAC bitrates.
In the main menu, you can select any songs and right click over the song will prompt you a menu with "Convert Selection to AAC".

@701: If you want to use your P910i for music, then you should really have a 128MB+ memory stick, otherwise it's pointless. I sincerely hope that you're not using the default 32MB one supplied?! You'll get hardly any music on that! |

@adn:10x,i'll try that tomorrow! @lozishere:yeah,i realized that even b4 i bought the phone but i didnt have the time to go and buy 1. The cost here for a 256 or 512 mb would b around 110 euros.

Have just set my computer making a copy of my music library at 64kbps AAC as I am away for a few days. Have fun crunching 1600 files, and please don't set fire to yourself
Am going to try and get a 512MB duo tomorrow...

I have just been playing with a m4a file which I ripped with Itunes. I have the problem with the P910 music player only showing the artist in the track listing. This has been well covered in relation to MP3's in this forum but not with m4a files. Any ideas on how to sort out these tags? I have tried deleting some fields such as composer and album name without any joy. |

I have the same problem: Maybe a software update will fix the problem? Come on SE! |

Ok, so i've tried them both, head to head:AAC and OGG. OGG is better in my opinion cuz it's a bit smaller. If u rip an album the diff'rence would be about 1,5 MBs between them, OGG having less, of course.Again, the quality(96kbps/sec, 44100Mhz, stereo) is very good, no hissing or other disturbance. OGG is more ankward cuz u have to transfer them into the document area on the mem stick, while the AAc can be placed in the audio section. This is the only(very small drawback).I'll stick to OGG and get a 512 MB stick (which is 130 euros here ) so i'll be able to get at least 20 albums in there!
Nice piece of work this p910i

Don't forget though that AAC can be used as a ring signal whereas OGG can't! Only a minor point, but you know. I would use ogg, but seeing as for some reason there are very little options for doing conversions on a mac, I will stick to AAC! |

For me it's the same as i don't use the whole song as a ringtone. I keep them separate.

I have ripped some music with iTunes. The music is in AAC format. Bitrate 256. This is what my P910i music player shows:
