I suppose it's dual 256 ram, try remove one of theme and exchange and see if it changes something ... I had a similar problems it was just one of the RAM that didn't work properly

now for the stupid question how do i check my cpu temp??

And for CPU temp, go into your BIOS, and look at something like Hardware Moniter... dont know what the average should b....
