V800 external display - picture ID? |

apparently not so standard.... although I gotta say i fully expected the display, which is the size of a T68 display (sideways) to display a small caller Id image. So yeah  definitely lost some points there 
also haven't been able to get it to work in my themes so for the time being the external display is a bit of a bummer.

Other question for all owner which I already asked, but got different reaction :
*Does the external display turns black when the phone is not in use? What does it display then?
*My concern is that you always have to press a key to see missed calls / new messages.
*Is there any way to set the phone in order to have the external display to never turns completely off in order to see the missed calls / new messages all the time?
Some people also seem to say it's a bulky phone. Is that phone really so bulky?
In Switzerland, the V800 will be available Novembre, 18th. Really looking foward to it.

Compared to My Z600 it is longer, but also sleeker. The hinge is quite big (camera lens and stuff are in there) but all in all I personally don't think it's terribly big....... but gotta say it WAS slightly bigger than I expected when I took it out of the box

I can not believe that is not posible to see the id picture on the external display,are you sure? also can you tell if in this model is posible to put mp3 on sms as on P900/910 or we are reduce to the sounds they already asign as on K700/S700 if this is not posible one less buyer for this model(all this posible in my V3)

the phone is quite big, but I find the size and design better than the Z1010. It's also flatter than I expected.

I would also like to know about the message tones. The limit to the poor preset ones is my pet hate!
Also do u all have awful voda menus or nice SE ones

Maybe its just the satan network vodafone with their limitations on phones. I would count on it to be that |

neither, vodafone menus but they're not nearly as awful as they were on certain previous models

Satan goes a bit far imho. If you don't like vodafone don't buy their products, it's really simple. Moaning about how much we hate vodafone in threads where people have bought the product, so essentially don't hate voda that much does get old.
I would not count on 'it' being vodafones vault. Voda wasn't quite alone when designing the fw you know.

wat other feature can be shown frm the external screen other than view finder, sms, miss call etc..... can u browse for pics or access any menus?? Are the ringtones loud?? Any difference between Z600 or S700?? Internal memory 3MB? 7MB? 32MB? |

the external display shows the basic info about carrier, date, time, battery, signal, bluetooth, message etc etc
you can also set the wallpaper to an image of your choice, none or set by the theme
when using music player and closing the phone yu get the following display. Note the blurrying off the song title because it scrolls from right to left
ringtones are the same tired old ones as usual
