I've had K700i for two weeks now... I am a perfectionist and my experience told me that you just cannot search for a perfect phone-you just have to search for a phone that will have the least downsides (objectivly and of course, SUBJECTIVLY)! Things that bodher me, you maybe won't even notice, and vice-versa...so, we are all different
and we all search for different things, but....back to the K700I: I am so impressed with this phone, I am starting to fear that something very bad will happen to it!!! You know how things in life are-you shouldn't have extreme emotions about anyone and anything-because, if you do, usually you end up hurted! But, with K700i I just can't
resist it....belive me, each time I look at its bright clear screen, big "WOW" is heared in my head! And of course, all of that is not from the fact that it is perfect, but because it has so much great things, a lot of good things and very few cons, compared to other phones! I feared that its vibration is too weak (vib. is really of great importance
to me), but even if it seems that it's weaker than other phones (when tested in your hand), you just CAN feel it better than with the others -I don't know what's the SE's formula for this, but it's obviously working! I have "clean", non-branded K700, and in my opignion, using of a branded one could lead you to regretion, but thank God, there is
a relatively easy and cheap solution for that now! And believe me, I've been comparing, I've been trying and testing lots of phones before I bought a new phone...and I am not a "company lover" - except for
Nokia, I had a phone from almost every company out there (and I think the sound in loud places is still loud enough with K700, and better or the same compared to other models I owned)....and today, when smartphones are still too big for the way I see and need and use mobile phones, K700i was really the only choice! Note that in my case prise of a S700 WAS an object, and if that wasn't a case, I'd probably go for S700.
Answer to your question: NO, I've not regreted it, not even for one microsecond!

@YEOPK

I am very pleased with my K700. The K700 may not have the best screen available, or the best camera, or memory expansion, but it does have a lot of very good features that combine to make the K700 an excellent choice. I use my K700 quite a bit, along with my S700.

Scotsboyuk, which one do u prefer? K700 or S700? One more thing, both of them are bigger than t610/630.

I have found the following problems with the K700i.. 1)The ring sound can be quite low in loud(ish) place, so u have to use sharp sounding tones. 2)The rubber sealing at the bottom of the phone,the one that covers the terminals, gets loose and doesnt fit flush after some time. 3)The 'Online' sticker on the side comes off. I pamper my k700i so much and always carry it in its case and these things still happen, what if i was rough with it! Otherwise, its a great phone!

I regret buying the K700i because:
1. People look at me when my mp3 of Alias theme starts playing when somebody calls me.
2. My nephews/neices jumps at me wanting to be the first to borrow the phone for the 50 different games I have in it.
3. I'm kind of addicted to taking candid photos/videos of friends and relatives and things that look wierd/unique anytime, anywhere when I feel like it.
4. I'm forced to wake-up early every morning for work because my alarm never fails and the "coo-coo" sound is so annoyingly effective.
5. I've become irritable when somebody calls me for dinner while I'm in the middle of a good chess game while listening to mp4s in my K700i.

etc, etc, etc.
resistance is futile.

I've had the K700i for 10 days now and since this phone has much more features than the T610, it takes time to get use to it.

The only problem I had with this phone is the polyphonic ringtone. The ringtone definitely sounds better than its predecessors but in a artificial and unbalanced way. The treble is always too high, bass too low and with some missing notes.

But anyway, it's a teriffic phone!

I bought a K700i and gave it back one week later. It had so many buggs and the Vodafone branding was absolutely stupid. I'm very happy with my decision to buy the Z1010. A great and amazing phone.

It's a very hard choice, but I would have to say that I prefer my S700, but only by the slimmest of margins. The K700 might not have as good a camera as the S700, but its size compensates for this. They are both excellent mobiles and I would recommend both of them.

The S700 is bigger than the T610/30, but it doesn't feel all that big when one holds it. The S700 fits quite nicely in my pocket.

I certainly don't regret buying the K700.

At the time I got it, it was and still is a great phone for all the features it has

however, having just sold my P910, the K700 has taken second place on my belt after the Moto V3

I do expect to keep the K700 for some time to come as SE don't appear to have much that we know about that will replace it

@masseur - All along I thought that the S700 was the successor of the K700i . . . Though different category: S and K , both very 1st of it's series

Well, I bought one K700 and sold it right 3 weeks later. First, the key pad was kind of very annoying because the soft keys are not at the same "level" as the other keys. SMS typing was too slow and buggy (especially in french, the phone did not handle the accent right) Moreover, sometime I was moving the joystick too fast - the phone OS was unable to follow me, and I was always getting the wrong application. I lost the Sony Ericssson rubber quite fast because it felt for unknown reason. I had to charge the battery twice a day (!). The plastic basis of the phone was not solid, was squeaking, and it was grinching while I was typing on the keyboard. This without mentioning the freezing screens.

Well, I had one of the first released K700.

Now I'm waiting the V800 and hope it will work better!

@Silex

The battery cover does squeak, but I can't say that I've had any bother with those other problems.

How about the ring tone volume? Some member are saying they can't hear the in coming call in public places without the vibra mode on.

I had these SE's: T200, T300, T610 and lately, my shiny K700i. So, I think I know some aboput SonyEricsson. I agree whit somebody in this forum who said we all are different and want different things. But letīs put some things over the table. K700i has a shiny, sharp screen. 176x220 is an excellent screen resolution. Good quality pictures. This phone is almost perfect for the average (and above) multimedia lovers (as I am). 41 Mb is much more memory than most people really need. Video recording and playback. FM radio is just a pleasure. Infrared. Bluetooth. MP3. Etc. What else do you REALLY want?. I think it's plenty of features. By the way, I havenīt experienced any problem with the sound. The "look"?. Ok. Maybe it's a little "serious". Personally I would like to have all these features inside the K500īs body. Just it. I love my keysevenhundred!
