I always thought it was like this:
-Masseur posts "winning reply = 5 and you win....."
-person A posts "i win" Reply 1
-person A posts "i win yay" Doesn't Count
-person A posts "i win dont i?" Doesn't Count
-person B posts "no i win" Reply 2
-person A posts "nope i win " Reply 3
needs two more
