R2L seemed to fix most of the bugs in my phone, except for the bluetooth connection sometimes being lost.

Have you checked the com-ports in Phone Monitor. If you havenīt activated the right ports this problem can appear. At least it solved my problem which was same as yours. |

I got my K700i beggining of the week and have had zero problems on
this R2L firmware. played with phone a heck of a lot which usually
had me wasting my t68i and t610 battery in 15 hours. Lasted well over 24 hours. I am over the moon with this phone. But please help. I want Mini golf from SE website but if i find one i can download it says it's incompatible with my phone. HELP. ASAP. Please!!!! |

Minigolf is for T610 aint it ? Try t610wap.com for games. It has K700 compatible ones too and besides - YOUR POSTING IN THE WRONG THREAD FOR GAMES !!

I know i am posting on the wrong thread for that. If you noticed i initially commented on the firmware and battery life. I thought i would ask while i was here and i thank you for your swift reply.
No need to shout though. |

Thanks for understanding. Very lonely out here in sa.
Everyone thinks nokia is still king of phones.
They are crazy.
I still got a lot to learn though.
Thanks for the help Dude! |

Ok, if anybody's interested or can offer an opinion here are my observations. Got phone monday. Wore the battery down late tuesday night. Charged and carried on using from 21:00. It's now thursday 14:00 and i have 3/4 full battery after phoning, using camera, downloading and using the phone light in a blackout for the worst part of 10 minutes. I'm impressed. But i have noticed that i recorded a video clip (my cat about 30 sec) and the phone suddenly went blank(white screen) for about 7 seconds. After that it was fine. Didn't need a reboot, just carried on. Any comments? |

@siosal - Which firmware do you have ? If you have R2A then this occurs, upgrade to R2L.

As stated on above post i am on R2L firmware. This problem has occured twice. Will see if it happens again. At least the whole thing doesn't crash like on nokia or even my old T68i. |

Well all firmwares have their bugs even R2L. I experienced the same problems you had but it was when i was browsing and a few times when sms'ing.

Oh dear. Thats not cool. I'll let you know if it happens to me. So far it's only with the camera. Keep messing around with the phone when i don't have anything to do. Draining my battery unneccessarily. I saw a post on another thread saying a future firmware should make the camera button the speakerphone pick up button on an incoming call. I think thats a good idea.
With your problems... did they happen while you were typing your sms or after you finished. It only happened to me when i pressed stop on recording. |

it happened when i was typing the sms. During browsing it happened when i clicked on a link.
It occurs very rarely so i guess i can live with it

Guys. I read your posts about the battery and I got very confused not knowing if I should upgrade or not. First, how can I check on which firmware my phone is working now. And second, its true I have battery problems. I use the phone a lot, 2 hours talking per day, SMS, MMS and 2 hours radio listening. I have to recharge the battery daily. I play no games. Otherwise, I dont experience any problems with the phone, as it is.
If I do upgrade should it have an effect on other functions of the phone, its settings etc?
Should I do it or it will create more problems than it will solve? |

On the joystick and press right on the joystick, *, left, left, *,left,*. That brings up a menu with all your software info. I would'nt be so worried wether the firmware is going to make your phone worse. It only fix's bug's, not add's new ones. It's worthwhile if you ask me. The problems we are talking about are anomolies. Glitches in the matrix if you will. You have these thing's happen no matter what brand of phone you use.
Hope this helps. |

yeah siosal's right. Like say your phone has some bugs. A f/w upgrade will probably fix 76-85 % of the bugs. All s/w have bugs, so you cant expect the perfect f/w (maybe in the future ?).
