All new SEs like K700, S700, Z1010 etc. Allow it. T610 and similar do not

I couldn't get it to work through the synch station for some reason, probably because I'm using windows xp! I'll check my settings tonight after work and post them here.

I heard the 8080 port wap like a free backdoor for developers and testing etc. Don't know if there's any truth in that though

Makes sense, I just hope they don't change it. I mean, this is quite a big forum, search google for SE and it will pop up, so I dunno if the networks will change anything... I hope not. PLEASE NETWORKS DON'T CHANGE IT!!!! KILLING FREE GPRS=KILLING ESATO!!!!

if you're on a contract it should be free anyway, i have dialup, dsl, gprs and numerous others, how many isp's do we need ? mobile companies are ripping us off, especially when roaming. |

Genie was the "predecessor" to O2 Online. Maybe that is why he mentioned it... Maybe some Genie SIMs were GPRS enabled before they dissappeared.

I finally finished reading your message. I respect that you may find it easier to type like that, but honestly, even if it is just for my sake, please type in english.
Other than that, you have a good point.

The links to those free O2 Online sims come up in here once in a while. Just keep an eye out for links in the general discussion or whereever.

It's ok, just don't overdo it.

Can someone help me, I'm not sure I get it. I can connect my PC to the net via GPRS, using it as a modem or what? I am interested only because I wouldn't mind remote net access. Basically my question is this. How fast is GPRS? is it faster or slower than 56k?
