i do have a cam. A very small digital camera that fits in my pocket. But isnt it always the case that when you dont have your camera you want to take that shot! The fact is I hate carrying my camera everywhere, my pockets just get too bulky. |

Arty, to be honest, cmeras in phones are not professional quality. I know it isnt handy carrying a phone and camera everywhere, but as you are using it in the line of work, may i suggest that no phone currently (or soon to be released) has the ability to take the quality of photo you require.

As I've had my Nokia 7610 back then, yes, the camera produces nice images compared to my SE K700i now! Though what I didn't like 'bout it was it's fone design (more effeminate) and lacks - radio! When I had my K700i merely 2 months ago, I really miss some nice features of a Nokia fone . . . maybe given a little more time, I'll let go of my K700i and buy me a brand new Nokia 6230 ! |

hey mr spirit. I do understand what you are saying but its not really professional shots im after. Just the spontaneous type ones. Look heres an example. Not a professional shot but just a cool spontaneous one. Not the best but hey it catches the mood.

@JN Friendly advice: do not buy 6230, coz screen is so bad and small, that it looks like it has 4000 colours, not 65000! Camera is sooo bad that I wanted to puke when I saw pics made with it...

@arty its a fone. I know, that slowly all handset turn to a swiss-knife, but aslong they be sold as a fone, dont understand why must be complained cos of second line features. Same like to race in f1 with a vw golf and later be disappointed with the result.

Ok y'all, fair enough you all have valid points. I agree, the K700 isnt going to make me coffee. The reason I bought it was so I could have a CAMERA and a phone in one, as it is marketed. What I got was a great sexy phone with a camera that works ok. Thats all Im saying. If If the K700 had the camera that was in my 6600 then Id be happy.
No its not a swiss army knife. No its not a professional camera. Yes I love the K700. But all Im asking is, was anyone else not saisfied with their expectation of the K700? |

with my personal experience I wud suggest to go for a samsung...I feel camera wise samsung beats SE & nokia...it just the overall SE features which make me come back to SE...my previous Samsung E700 took much clearer pix than any SE one...

Are you considering getting the S700 when it comes out, as this sounds like the perfect phone for you, seeing as one of it's main features is the camera?

Well haqve thought about it but i think its gonna be way too expensive and way too bulky. I was thinking maybe the N 6630. Looks quite professional. |

Camera wise I have to agree that Samsung have the edge - I had a V200 for a while, and that had an excellent (for a phone) camera on it.
However, it's connectivity sucked. As already pointed out, it (and no Samsung phone yet) has bluetooth, and even the IR was limited in what it could do. The only way to get photos from the phone to your pc was by the data cable that they supply with the phone.
I'm very pleased so far with the cam on my k700 - I in fact used it for my holiday photos as my digital camera's broke! The photo quality was surprisingly good, although for the next holiday I'm going to be using a proper digital camera (just bought one off a fellow esatonian). Although the k7 was good, it just wasn't quite good enough for my holiday photos.
