As i re-read through Bengalboys review, i find myself being even more disappointed with the S700 than the last time i read it.
I dont see any point in upgrading my K700i to the S700 anymore. Whats the point in paying for the same phone with just a better camera and more memory ?
I wont be buying it, unless theres no other alternative phone to buy in 6 months time...
But then, there is the Razor and P1000..

oh, and the s700i is NOT another  k700i phone with good camera:
it has:
1.3 megapixel camera (now i would kill for a phone with that camera)
A swivel action
HTMl supported - which means it can show HTML webpages
AND MEMORY STICK DUO support which means you can have over 128mb of memory
So dont DIS IT RIGHT?!?!?!?!!

So, over my K700i is has a 1.3mp camera, and more memory.
Big deal. I paid out a large wad of money for my K700i, im not going to pay out another wad for the same phone, with just a couple of extra features.
I cant believe you included the swivel action as a key feature.. how does it help the phone.. at all ?

i really h8, se why dont they release it already.... my contract run out and waiting, hopefully it will be out very early october, so i can just upgrade..... arghhhh,
was thinking of getting the k700 but tis been out a fair few months now and with all the problems im happy (well) to wait for the s700. but if they take the biscuit like delaying it till nov, well, sorry bye bye SE :/

I thought all my P900 encoded videos would play on the S700.
According to the review, they won't play.

I too am disopointed with this “new” phone from .
Its pretty much the same as the k700i with only a few extra’s.
Just like the t610 is with the t630  (almost)

another benefit over the k700, is the 252k colour screen. Though i don't think i will be updating, will wait till next year and see what is released around the time my minimum contract length is over. Picture quality on camera does look good though, much better than the 1.3 motorola, but even the k700 on extended looked better than the moto.

all you K700 users stop complaining and understand that you have a great phone. What where you expected for functions? GPS? Video out? fuel cell battery? wireless LAN? Acrobat reader? Excel? Word? 128 Mb Graphic card? I can´t say I miss much in these phones.

@bengalboy - Excellent review mate !!! Two-Thumbs Up !!! I really like seeing reviews/reports with so many images on it . . . Nice specs as well mate . . . So, did you find some glitches with that fone model - SE S700? Say, like the 'bugs' and 'poor battery life' of that with the SE K700/i fone model - stock one and not the upgraded one that I am talikg 'bout here mate! |

well obviously if you have just bought a k700 then you aint gonna buy an s700, like upgrading from a p800 to a 900 a few days after buying. but i am saying it is a worthy upgrade
AND
the t630 had a nicer design and better screen
the s700 has a bigger screen, a better screen, a 1.3 megpixel camera which can actually be USED for NICE photos, memory stick slot, and more. RIGHT!!!!!!
