wow! that 6260 is cheap! for sure my next phone. The only drawback i see is the lack of availability of rs memory cards that it uses in my country.

Are you sure that the 6260 uses RS-MMC cards ?
I think the 6260 uses normal MMC cards. The Nokia site doesn't mention RS-MMC either.

As i understand it, the symbian operating systems in the early days showed much potential includin multi taskin (as seen with mp3, radio, email and WV on 6230). Nokia also believed it would be a more stable platform for the future-going back some time though!

What are you speaking?

There is only 3 OS in Nokia phones using Symbian, Series60, Series80 and Series90. Every other, the most common OS in Nokia, Series40 included, hasn't anything to do with Symbian.

Don't believe? Check Symbian.com -> phones to find every Symbian-enabled phone ever made. Do you find 6230 there?

And about multi-tasking. For Nokia that is only possible in Symbian phones, but MP3 in 6230 isn't about multitasking. Sound output is handled in different CPU anyway, so it isn't in the way for other functionality.

6260 is a symbian phone which means u can install 3rd party programs.

and the 6260 physical screen dimensions are 40% bigger (in area terms) than K700i.

it is using RS-MMC. (stated in the user guide)
