@tranquil
Do you have standardised posts? I have seen that post before!

Why do we need to discuss this post count, newcomer etc things again and again and again? Esato works great, many new visitors every day, i mean the mashine is in roll.

@boba
We don't need to discuss anything, but that is usually what happens in forums, people have discussion about things. The discussion led on to the post count so I feel that it is a valid point to discuss. Every time this issue is raised someone comes along and says that there is no point in discussing it and so the discussion is cut short before more than a few members have had a chance to have their say on it.
I am not so sure why you feel that discussion of this issue somehow impacts upon Esato in a detrimental way, after all there is nothing wrong with trying to make a good thing better. Perhaps instead of simply dismissing such discussions you could provide valid points as to why you disagree. Interesting I would like to hear from some of the newer members on this issue since most of the people who discuss these issues tend to be older members.

I guess the total # of posts made does not totally qualify with the issue at hand ! @sammy_boy is quite right back there, just like in the case of @bobafett who made a 3.8K posts/replies in just a couple of months Some have registered wayback in 2002 and have only . . . what 50 # of posts! It's quite a hard 'Q' to rebutt It's like the 'Q' of which ever comes first the chicken or the egg ! |

there are actually more than 2 kinds of "status" here in ESATO
1) Newbie
2) Veteran
3) and those who doesn't care whether you're either.
I think, it's participation that counts. |

That's the most sensible comment I've heard on this subject!

Don't look at their post count, look at when they registered here. And when those terms are used, I consider them towards this board, not their knowledge about cell phones. If the president of SONY Ericsson joined Esato tomorrow, I'd consider him a newbie and me a veteran. Why? Because at Esato, that's what it would be. Sure he could trump me with his cell phone knowledge, but that won't change that I've been here longer than him (on Esato). There's my thoughts on the subject.
