i like the keypad buttons can be pressed easier than they could on the t68i or t610, only thing im not sure off is the colour.
the cover over the ports at the bottom is abit annoying as you want to get to them reguarly. a expansion slot for a media card would be good, change ur txt tones. otherwise all is well in the k700 world |

Well unfortunately there is no perfect phone, but there are better choice than other. If you choose K700, you know what you'll get if you read this thread. If I had the choice again, I would take a Samsung phone (kick operating system and nice menus, they only lack Bluetooth), but it's a personal choice. To be honest, I'll now keep my K700 (my wallet doesn't allow me to change every 2 months), stick the rubber Quickshare again and again and wait the next Sony Ericsson phone generation, hoping that they have carefully read the 10 points mentioned below. SE are improving their phones each year - so I'm just waiting for the next wave, hoping of a revolution like the T68 was, 3 years ago. (T68 -> T610 -> K700 ->

About the T9 text input. I beg to disagree. The T9 of my T230 is far better than that of any nokia i have used. Yes we have to use the joystick to view the matches but isn't that a lot more convenient than in a nokia where you have to press the options button then scroll down to the 'matches' option and then select the word? I haven't used K700 so i can't comment about that phone.

I have an iPod and a Casio Exilim Z40, so I don't need a phone to listen to music or shoot pics. It must've been hard for you to make up all these stuff!.. (I would love to insert a 'roll eyes' smiley here, but can't do that from wap...)

I agree with 2 of the comments;
2 - I agree it does not sit as comfortably in the hand as the T610/630. This is a very personal opinion and therefore might not relate to all.
6 - The battery is not good at all and congratualtions to anyone who can get away with charging it less often than once every 24 hours!!!
Other than that what you have said is rubbish in my eyes.
The SMS is good and I think the best method compared to any phone I have ever used.
The menu system is only slow after initial boot-up.
On the quality front, the phone is better than Nokia's offerings with the xpress-on covers which are always loose, though my K700i battery cover does creak.
Item 5 is a great feature. Nokia's 6230 has a similar approach
iPod users have iPods for their music, not phones. Expandable memory is a + but the absence is not a - for me!!!
Why compare a Cybershot camera to a phone? Are you with us? SE are putting their 1.3MP exspertise in the S700i (S710A), so no bother that there is not a 1MP camera.
Reason 10 is being worked on.
Frankly go out and buy an iPod, Nokia, samsung & Sharp phones, a cybershot camera and stop worrying about the colour of the backlight. I have time on my hands today to tell you to think again mate. I hope you enjoy my retort!!!

Jezus christ is just phone! it's not an ipod-cybershot-smartphone-hybrid device!
IMO K700 is a good design and a very nice phone with every feature I can dream of

Sounds like another case of not finding out what you want/need BEFORE buying...
1: If you are a Nokia user and happy with Nokia, why not stick to them if other brands doesnīt live up to your expectations? Iīm a sloth at SMSīing but i canīt say that i am faster with my 8310..
2: Thatīs YOUR opinion and hardly an argument to make people not buy it..
3: Take care of your phone and try not to have too many keys, chewing gum/marbles in the same pocket as the phone. As for the sticker, mine is still intact after one month +...
4: If you are a Samsung user youīll think you died and now in heaven because now you can actually use the phone during the day and NOT charge it in the evening
5: That has never bothered me, so again, a personal preference.
6: If I were a travel user, iīd make damn sure I had a charger with me, car (12V ) and/or wall socket charger. Anyway itīs about double the standby I had on Samscum V200..
7: Personal preferences again, no further comment..
8: Surprise surprise! And who said the K700 is an iPOD in disguise?? As I see it, the mp3 support is mainly for ring signals. Donīt bring a knife to a gun fight..
9: See above.. it is NOT, nor was it intended to be a competitor to Sonyīs (or anyone elses for that matter) proper digicams.
10: Itīs not possible RIGHT NOW to upgrade via web, correct. However in a very near future the update site will be launched for real (unless my friend at Ericsson Lund is lying, which i seriously doubt)
Bottom line: Please change topic subject to:10 true reasons why I should avoid buying a K700

I have none of the problems Silex has mentioned...
Maybe its because im not looking through Nokia-tinted glasses, i see the K700 how it is, and not dream up imaginary faults.

On my K700 (1 month old) QuickShare sticker peeled off yesterday. It can't stick well since then. How can I fix it, any suggestion? |

For author of this topic: These all are bunch of gremlins shit exept no. 3.
Sticker QuickShare didn't last long, but when you have good glue, it will stay on its place forever. About camera: camera is very good, it is better then most of the Nokia phones (it is better even of 6230, who is his only enemy from Nokia). About design: you seems to like a squery design. K700 is more beautiful than all Nokias. You didn't say anything about screen, that is better than all screens of all companies, especially Nokia.

Glue ?
Looking through Silex's profile, i notice he's made 40 posts since he joined the forum.
I picked out a few to see the type of thing he talks about. I didnt check them all, but if you look, they all seem to be moans about SE.
why do these people join forums just to moan ?
