It seems like Sony always appreciated Ericsson in mobile phone designing, even before their "marriage"...

Sony implemented flip-up cover in its best selling mobile, Z5.
And Ericsson pioneered flip-ups in their model 768,
predecessor of T-series.
Nowadays flipups are used only in their Pxxx smartphones.

I was never a flip fone fan, but do liked the idea. Think the t28 had the most impressive flip design.
