nicely done MiXiN
they aint jealous or whatever other pointless comments ppl have been making about why they dont use GMail, from what ive read every point they make is a valid one.
just beacause you've got an account with GMail..doesnt mean they're complaining because they havent...its gona be free..jus like MiXiN said.

I dont think the stupidity surrounding gmail is the fact that someone wrote an article stating its flaws, i think its the whole idea that people are getting really really excited over something that is essentially free web based email, that will eventually be just as spam-ridden as yahoo or hotmail.

Yes, but this is not the right way how to ask questions about this kind of a service... Report would be better...

I think you completely and utterly ignored the facts that they have some very valid points and that gmails treatment of ones sensible information is by no means guaranteed anywhere.
Then again, I have no illusions about microsoft being any better, or anybody for that matter and I firmly believe that we're all being tracked around the web anyway, google/gmail or not
But 'stupidity' or 'jealousy' was never the reason for starting the site referred to in the thread title.

Yeah I think it's very good to point out the negative things of gmail but not bashing them and certainly not with that stupid domain name ( you have to admit that it's childish ).
It could have been better and about googleadsense, I think they are doing a very good job, yeah sometimes the adds are irrelevant ( 1% maybe since they updated it ) but then it's only a robot who crawls and search millions of pages every day. If he can do it better why don't he ask google his offers ...... |

OK, but why to make a website about that?

the website is not just abut google adds and the good and bad sides of them, it also discusses a point you've ignored so far: the treatment of privacy-sensitive information.
Now I personally am not too bothered as I have no privacy sensitive info on my gmail account to begin with, but for intensive users the risk of credit card numbers, passwords and such possibly being matched and possibly being stored even after the user (and hence owner of the information) has chosen to delete it, is questionable.
I am by no means saying that gmail is alone in this, because I don't know that, but the policy itself is dubious, no matter how hot gmail may be these days. gmails bad luck is that it's out in the open, whilst other companies, such as microsoft, may do the exact same thing but nobody knows about it.
