Weird purple glow under a photograph |

i'm sorry for the rather obvious and possibly patronising suggestion - but could it by something like your finger being a little too close to the bottom of the camera lens causing the discolouration? I've often stuck my finger in the way of the lens!
I know fingers aren't purple, but perhaps your finger/sleeve etc. is just close enough to cause a discolouration?

There are. The closest one for me is Teleworld in Amsterdam. Went there for a firmware update last friday. For a list of service centers in the netherlands, click here and here.
Not sure if there's anything they can do about that purpleish glow, though. You could try adjusting the colour balance using an image editor.
